Wonderful theatre designed by Basil Spence with the comfiest seats in any theatre I've visited. I'm hoping they don't change the seats or the ambience during the forthcoming "revamp". We attended a performance at the Theatre Royal in Bath 2 nights earlier and while that theatre has undoubted charm the Nuffield is better in every respect - better seats, better uninterrupted views of the stage, better ambience/atmosphere and better value! Not forgetting the friendly staff. Can't wait to return but hope the revamp doesn't spoil things as this is a treasure that needs preserving.

There seem to be some really excellent productions mixed in with not-so-good. The Last Temptation of Boris Johnson was clever, funny and brilliantly executed with amazing impersonations. Boris and Maggie were totally believable in their spoofed-way.

It's a pity the theatre management spoils it by keeping the theatre rather cold (I had a coat over my legs all evening) and then making the actors put out begging hands. Greater subtlety could be demonstrated, certainly with greater effect as far as I am concerned.

What a brilliant show!! So clever, moving, reflecting the tragedies of so many Southampton residents... yet it was so funny! I cannot remember when I last laughed so much!
NST City is fantastic new theatre in the Centre of Southampton with lovely areas to hangout beforehand, a bar and restaurant too. Check it out, you will not be disappointed!!

Had tickets for this afternoon's performance but had so much trouble finding a parking place had to leave without seeing the show.Although there was plenty of room to park in the university car park would have been fined if we had parked there.

My mother and I had the great honor of watching the production of Don Carlos a few evenings past. The actors were absolutely superb! Their passion and talent were unsurpassed.

I would love to see them bring this incredible production to my hometown of Washington DC. Their stellar talent would be very well received!!!

I purchased front row seats, which were wonderful. We were perfectly situated and not required to look upwards to see the stage. We saw everything and were so close to the action!!!

I highly recommend this lovely theater and truly incredible performance with the most talented and passionate actors I have had the honor of seeing in a very long while

Give up 90mins of your time in the sunshine to see this amazing play. A story that has been hidden, has now been bought to life in this absolutely fantastic production. The cast are mesmerizing, the music; the sound of South Africa. Very moving and emotional - thank you Nuffield for this experience.

I’ve visited the New NST City twice now - main house and studio. Great City centre location with good local facilities and a spacious bar of its own (including food - menu not sampled). I am not sure how a new entry gets created on trip advisor but this could do with its own now!

The theatre space itself lends itself to exciting and innovative productions and this will now be the main home for new productions with the NST campus hosting an excellent programme of touring productions...

Went to see Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie. Fabulous small theatre, but very well appointed. Extremely comfortable seats and well arranged so that the view is uninterrupted. Very helpful and professional staff. Thank you for a lovely evening.
