My favourite part of this house is the garden full of herbs and plants grown in the Tudor period. The cafe spills into the garden patio where you can sit over your... More

This was a great place to learn about life in Southampton from its heights in shipping to its not so prosperous times.

Interesting to see how the wealthier lived in earlier times. Also had some museum artifacts recovered from a Viking discovery.

Very disappointing and we were not alone - an elderly American couple seemed totally astounded that there was so... More

We enjoyed this house. Very well kept and a few interactive items that kept a teenager content and enough facts that didnt bore. Id visit again when they have an event on.

The place was located just a couple of blocks away from our hotel. And so my wife and I decided to pay it a visit and we're glad we did. We used audio headsets for a self-guided tour and that worked well. The House was interesting. It gave us a good idea of what it might be like to have... More

This small modern annex to the museum opens on to their lovely garden - they serve adequate food and drink in unique surroundings - ok the choice may be a bit limited but its all well presented and the prices are sensible - pity its closed on mondays and, thanks to central government cuts, during the week the museum closes... Tudor House is a fascinating museum in the heart of Southampton. It's quite a surprising place, as it gives you a really intimate, personal experience of another time. The museum is really nicely planned out and executed, right from the starting presentation that gives you a broad working overview of the house and its history, through the many small details...
