Water view, with space to run around

Fantastic view of the water, docks activity, container ships, with fresh air and plenty of space for children to run around. Benches on the old wall rather run down and the park... read more

This is a green space that has views over Southampton water. You may see the odd boat in the distance. Apart from that it has a small play park and a very reasonably priced café/ice cream parlour with toilets. Nowt wrong with it, but it is not a 'destination', it's just somewhere you can kill 30 mins with little ones... More

I have a photo captured sunset in the summer and it looks exactly like the one you see above from TripAdvisor. Come here in the afternoon and enjoy a lovely Southampton sense !

Very relaxing place to rest. Watch ships come and go and watch the world go by in a very tranquil setting

We recently took my grand-children to Mayflower Park whilst on holiday in the area, the children had some lunch from the small kiosk and loved it, tasty food at very reasonable prices. The play area kept them entertained and they loved watching the ferries in and out of the port.

Fantastic view of the water, docks activity, container ships, with fresh air and plenty of space for children to run around. Benches on the old wall rather run down and the park could do with sprucing up, but well worth visiting for the water view or views back to town. Refreshments kiosk and ice cream van too.

After a recommendation by the hotel staff that this was the place to wach the ships passing by we were disappointed to find the majority of the park suffering from waterloggging and mud! Obviously a great deal of traffic both mechanical and human had used the park and ther were barriers all around making access difficult but the view in... More

We visited mayflower park as it can be a great place to see the ships. This time there wasn't much to see ship wise, also the grass out was badly cut up, looked like a load of lorries had been on the grass got stuck and churned the grass up getting out

This is the second time we have been on Oceana as a large family holiday, and although it had undergone a re-fit since our last visit it didn't look any different other than a bit crisper - that was a good thing as the interior of the ship is fantastic with beautiful sweeping staircases, lovely open atriums and a stunning... Name can be deceiving, as it is not much of a park.. But for watching ships, it is great... Kids will enjoy it thoroughly, atleast the first 10 min afterwhich they'll start asking, what else can we do other than watching ships ?? Good place for fireworks as well.

We stayed in a hotel adjacent to the Mayflower Park. the park is half grassed area plus lots of parking. The weather was very warm when we visited so was very busy. there was quite a bit of left rubbish in the park which made it look not very pleasant but was ok for us to walk threw and view... More
