A great way to see some of the best cruise ships in the world and a very pleasant walk! You can use the small kiosk for ice creams and other goodies!

A great place to see some of the gigantic cruiseliners that visit Southampton. You get quite close –but how disappointing Mayflower Park is, with nothing much more here than a patch of grass, a railing, a grim place to roller blade and a mobile ice cream van. Can’t help thinking a great opportunity has been missed here, bearing in mind... More

If anybody is considering a cruise, I urge you to visit this excellent ship before booking one. Excellent tour of the ship followed by lunch on-board

The park isn't the best, it could do with a bit of an overhaul, it all just looks rather tired. But if you want an afternoon and want to be able to watch the cruise ships leaving, this really is the best place, you get a really good unobstructed view. Well worth a visit.

I left on 2 different cruises from here and everything was efficient and well organised. The staff helped with everything.

One of the problems with Southampton is that the Town is completely disconnected from the port (which is one of the biggest in the UK) There are a few tantalising glimpses of ships to be obtained from some parts of the town but nowhere you can go to really appreciated the size and scale of the port and the ships... This is a green space that has views over Southampton water. You may see the odd boat in the distance. Apart from that it has a small play park and a very reasonably priced café/ice cream parlour with toilets. Nowt wrong with it, but it is not a 'destination', it's just somewhere you can kill 30 mins with little ones... More

I have a photo captured sunset in the summer and it looks exactly like the one you see above from TripAdvisor. Come here in the afternoon and enjoy a lovely Southampton sense !

Very relaxing place to rest. Watch ships come and go and watch the world go by in a very tranquil setting

We recently took my grand-children to Mayflower Park whilst on holiday in the area, the children had some lunch from the small kiosk and loved it, tasty food at very reasonable prices. The play area kept them entertained and they loved watching the ferries in and out of the port.
