They know where to catch fish. Plenty of Bream, a Skate, some Conger Eels and more. Great afternoon Wreck Fishing.

Had the BEST DAY fishing with Matt and Paul yesterday. Apparently the conditions weren’t great for fishing, but it didn’t seem to matter. We caught lots of different species of fish, one of them being a massive bass, which has been my dream for a while. I kept the bass, it’s going to be my lunch today! Paul really kindly gutted it for me. Matt and Paul were brilliant - so helpful and professional, I can’t fault them. I want to go back out with them and catch more fish! Gutted Bex couldn’t come out too. We met her at the Marina just before we went out and she’s a really keen angler as well as a skipper. Maybe next time.

I went on a bream trip with promises of plenty of fish. But we didn’t have a single bream worth taking home to eat. The crew fished and the crews children fished. It made me feel as if I was intruding on a family outing. Lots of boats on a very popular fishing mark but when all the other boats had gone to other marks we remained and captain refused to move. Nice spacious boat but unclean, slow and noisy.

Hi Martin. I’ve been through our records and can not find you on there. If you’ve been out with us our booking process produces a confirmation email. Can you provide me with the booking number on that email and the name you booked under so I can trace when this trip was please. I’m sure you know as a fisherman there is no guarantee of fish let alone the size there of. It was a bream trip and you’ve said yourself bream were caught. I’m sure the skipper you are referring to is Bex who has been working on charter boats for the last 17 years and is usually the first to move and chase fish should the need arise. As for her children fishing they are paid spaces the same as any other person and are therefore entitled to fish. As children they will need more tuition or supervision than a seasoned angler or adult and would be treated the same as any junior angler on our trips. I digress. As requested please provide me with the information requested so I can address this further. Regards Matt Towgood Boat and office manager

Hi - just to say a great big thank you for my fishing trip today and for looking after me and my broken toe - you couldn't have done any more to make sure my day was exceptional - your kindness are a shining example to all.of us as to how to support and look after others - many thanks the breakfast and lunch were good quality - the frequent teas were just great and as someone who hasn't fished for 50+ years I caught 6 bream - my favourite fish, mostly because of the skipper Ian's kind help and gentle advice, including baiting my hooks and changing weights etc Their whole booking, going and communicating process is totally practical and well oiled including excellent weather watching and transferring to another day when weather's not ok - Ian democratically changed boat location if ever things got quiet ll in all only excellent - 12 out of 10 - a team committed to doing their best to give us a special day's fishing Kindest regards John

Went wreck fishing and took over 2 hours to get there. It was freezing cold and pouring with rain. 4 Pollack between us all. It was choppy and uncomfortable. The skipper then decided to take us to the Nab. Not much there either. There was plenty of hot drinks available. Tea, coffee and a bacon roll were the highlight of the day. !!!!!!!!!!! 2 stars, plenty of room We later found out most other boats had cancelled the trips for that day because of the weather.

Hello James. Please give me the date and name you booked under so I can check this further. Wreck fishing is a longer day to allow us to travel to the mid channel wrecks. Traveling some 30 miles at between 16-18 kts will therefore take around two hours. Like any fishing there is no guarantee of fish. (Otherwise they would rename it catching) The skipper will use there knowledge to go where he thinks the fish will be on any given tide and weather conditions. Then move between wrecks to track them down. Anything can effect what’s caught or not. Anglers ability, wrong lure, a change in water temperature, air pressure or a pass a few hours before by a super trawler. We do our best. No charter can guarantee fish only that they will try their hardest to find them. Regards Matt Towgood Boat and office manager
