    Beautiful structure
We couldn't resist climbing to the top of this structure which is truly beautiful to admire. Unfortunately we went up in the evening, but in any case the view and the excellent cocktails made this experience very interesting. I recommend visiting during the day for the view
Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed the climb and the cocktails. We appreciate your tip about visiting during the day for the view. Hope to see you again soon! The Spinnaker Tower Team Part of Continuum Attractions

    As above, amazing experience
Absolutely wonderful experience, my granddaughter is scared being in the lift, but was reassured by the member of staff. We visited the coffee shop and met Sapphire who was very informative about up and coming events and suggested it may be advantageous to purchase an annual subscription. She too a couple of photos of my granddaughter and I to incorporate the views. Looking forward to my next visit, when I’m hoping to have a high tea experience.
Delighted to hear you had such a good visit, look forward to seeing you again soon

    An Amazing Experience!
A great experience and a “must” when visiting Portsmouth. Staff friendly, helpful and information. A special mention of Adrian who seemed to be a good “multi-tasker”. Views are breathtaking and help you to get your bearings of the local area and beyond. Isle of Wight can be seen clearly in the distance.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, we'll pass your feedback to the team. Best wishes, Spinnaker Tower Team, part of Continuum Attractions.

    Spinnaker Tower Birthday treat
Had a great day out in Portsmouth for my friends Birthday. We visited the Spinnaker Tower and were greeted by friendly staff. A special mention to an informative and helpful young lady called Dixie. The views were spectacular on all sides and I loved standing on the glass floor looking down. Great experience all round even the weather was kind to us.
Thank you so much for your five star review, we'll pass your feedback to the team & Dixie! Best wishes, Spinnaker Tower Team, part of Continuum Attractions.

    A really worthwhile experience
First time visit to the Spinnaker Tower for us and we thought it was amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff who answered our many questions. Fantastic views on the day we were there. Nice tea and cake at the top, which was fairly priced too. A really worthwhile experience.

    Enjoyable visit
This was our first visit to the Spinnaker Tower. Excellent view from the top. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived but soon started to fill up with screaming school children doing forward rolls across the glass walkway. We paid a visit to the cafe on the ground floor and had a couple of slices of cake and a drink for under £10 which I think was reasonably priced. The attraction itself was I feel a little overpriced for what you actually get but glad we visited and can cross off the list.
So pleased you enjoyed your visit! We hope you can come again, and thank you for such a nice review!

    Great evening experience! Would recommend!
Went for the 9:30pm-12pm sky bar experience, paid £10 each and that can be used towards the bar bill. We had 4 cocktails and a bourbon. Very reasonable total bill because of various offers that were on. Nice relaxed atmosphere with great views, and jazz playing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Matt did a great job and served us well. Would highly recommend.

    Definitely worth the trip
We decided to have the high tea to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. It was worth every penny from the wonderful views to lots of information about the area’s we were looking at. What made it extra special was the card we received and the way we were looked after by the staff and in particular Neve who was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, she was lovely and really looked after us, even complimenting us on our outfits. Thank you Neve 😀
Congratulations on your wedding anniversary & thank you for spending it with us! We are really happy your visit was so enjoyable. Hope to see you again soon. The Spinnaker Tower Team Part of Continuum Attractions

Booked the afternoon tea and could not fault it. The food was delicious, service was great, and the views were incredible! Would highly recommend. Shane the photographer was lovely and took some great pictures of us before we went up.

A perfect experience... with a slight "pressing" problem
There is no other way to describe it: "unbelievably enjoyable". From the tower where you have a bird's-eye view while remaining cosy in the warm interior, safe from the freezing wind outside. We easily spent hours spotting the numerous ships that flowed through the water below and the occasional hover raft from afar. Even if you wanted to enjoy the chilling breeze at the top, there is the outdoor garden where you can breathe in fresh air from the open roof while admiring the views from the highest point allowed to visitors. They really have accounted for everyone, including thrill seekers who are visiting, like the glass floor in the middle of the tower that gave an incredible view to the monumental structure below. But...there is one small problem. The coin press machines (if that's what they are called) within the viewing deck did not accept my card payment despite having the option, putting a slight stain on a nearly perfect experience. If you wanted to buy something as a souvenir, it would be a better option to go to the incredible shop at the exit which is filled to the brim with memorable items that I am sure you will treasure. Oh and I haven't even talked about the fact boards that are dotted around the tower, taking even a person who normally turns a blind eye to anything related to history on a journey through the history of Spinnaker Tower and the surrounding events that shaped history as we know it, though I won't spoil those for you today! 😜

Although we were concerned about the quality of the view due to the weather we were pleased to see the ‘view guarentee’ which is a positive. Turns out we didn’t need to worry as we were lucky enough to have a good view day. A lovely position to see a great view of the area. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We paid £13 per adult on the half term advanced booking offer. We felt this was a fair price. Not sure we’d have been happy paying £18 each. Whilst it’s a good view (after all that is the point!) the experience could be over quickly. We were lucky enough to see HMS Queen Elizabeth docking so enjoyed watching that take place. We enjoy just watching so spent an hour looking at details of the area. The screens with info about different landmarks was good - most places just tell you the names of landmarks but these were more detailed.
We went up to the sky garden, not sure it can be called a garden in all honestly but was cute.
We didn’t have children but saw some colourings, a pumpkin hunt and ‘Chase’ from Paw Patrol as children’s entertainment.

If you like to people/boat watch you can spend a decent 45-60 minutes here.

Fantastic views of Portsmouth, the harbour, and the Solent. We were lucky to have a sunny and clear day so we could see for miles. There are handy pointers to help you orientate yourself, too.

The sky bridge is fun and really gives you a new perspective on how high up you actually are!

We returned in the evening (booked separately) for cocktails in the bar at the top. The view looks completely different at night and is quite magical with all the lights below you.

The cocktails are amazing, very high quality, and reasonably priced, and the staff are attentive and informative.

We went up The Spinnaker Tower in August 2024 for an afternoon tea. Based on the cost of the afternoon tea, which included entry to the Tower, we felt it was good value overall as you could spend as long as you wanted up there after your tea to see the view and take in the atmosphere.

The staff at the entrance were very helpful and advised us what would happen prior to our afternoon tea. We went up to the viewing deck and spent about 20 minutes there before being called up to the cafe level for our afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was generally pleasant with a nice selection of sandwiches and cakes, we had a good view from our seat of the comings and goings of ships in and out of the harbour. The only disappointment with our tea was that the waiter came and gave us our drinks, then came past again about 10 minutes after asking if we required a refill, but then after that stood chatting with his colleague at the servery and didn't actually come round to ask if we wanted a refill again, when we most needed it. Eventually I managed to get his attention, but it would have been better if he had circulated a bit more around the guests to ensure their needs were met.

The only other comment I have is about the one single toilet on the cafe level which was a bit unsanitary and could have done with more regular cleaning / checking by staff or even just an odour neutraliser spray in there to make it a bit more useable.

Overall we had a lovely afternoon up the Spinnaker and would definitely return.

Afternoon tea - pre-booked. This was a present from family for my husband and I. The experience of going up the tower was amazing. The views were spectacular! The service was however poor. They ask that you are there 15 minutes before but weren’t ready for us until 20 after our actual time and the weather was hot so 35 minutes waiting looking at the view although fantastic was hot and we were melting. We then sat at our table and waited another 10 minutes before being asked for our drinks order at the same time as giving us the drinks menu whilst still waiting on the food. When we got the food it was nice although too many cakes and not enough sandwiches/wraps (there were 2 finger sandwiches and 2 finger sized wraps each) and we had to ask for some water as our drinks didn’t arrive until we had we were on the cakes! We went to the sky garden where we cooled off before eating the cakes. I’d suggest anyone going on a warm day to take a fan and be prepared to wait. Asked to use the facilities on way out as upstairs was occupied and was told the disabled loo was for staff only and to go find the public one across the was by Burger King (I do have a walking stick) so to sum up go up for the view but skip afternoon tea as over priced.

Would recommend booking a twilight ticket between 4.30-6 which brings down price of visiting.
Views from top of tower were great and the glass floor is a good experience.
The sky garden was a complete let down. No live plants, plastic feature walls and fake grass carpet. After visiting the sky garden in London I was expecting some live potted plants or shrubs as a minimum.

Report about the Spinnaker Tower
We went on a hot day and the cafe in the clouds was ridiculously hot. We were told that the air conditioning wasn't sufficient enough. So I am wondering why they didn't bring in extra (free standing) air conditioning units ... or free standing large fans at the very least. We had to eat our High Tea in the ground floor restaurant instead. We were invited to go up to the Sky Garden area above the restaurant but warned that it would be very windy as it was "open to the elements". Not at all ... the glass goes up to about 10 feet all around and the roof is covered in a metal mesh. Therefore there was just a delightful cooling breeze. Sadly, there are only 2 x two seat benches to sit down so you have to stand if they are occupied. Camera pictures are effected by the windows that have a blue tinge to them, so any pictures you take are badly effected. The staircase areas are very shabby and dirty, and the windows were covered in a thin film of dirt or dried out sea spray too.
I would not recommend a High Tea in the Clouds at all and even the cost of a simple admission ticket to take in the view is only just worth the cost.

Very disappointing I have attended two events here, a Birthday Party and just recently a Christmas dinner dance at a cost of £80 per head. On both occasions the lift has not been working so we have all had to squash into the ground floor, there is no atmosphere plus as both were in winter months it is absolutely freezing as the doors keep opening if there is an movement inside. My friends and I said we have never been so cold. The food was very poor for the Christmas dinner dance small portions, they mixed the orders up and I was given a starter I did not order and I couldn’t eat as I have allergy that would make me poorly. I feel £80 per head was very steep for such small portions and no wine included. Often for Festive meals at this price a half a bottle of wine is included.
Having experienced a broken lift now on two occasions in one year I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking to book a wedding or an event. The compensation offered was one drink on our next visit. Not good enough. Some of the money should be refunded to each person.

On a cloudy, slightly drizzly weekday we came over to Portsmouth with the distinct intention of going up the Spinnaker Tower to show our little 9 year old the sights of the harbour and surrounding seascape. I paid the rather exorbitant entrance fee (Child 12,95 and adult 15 quid) and then, after the obligatory photoshoot, we rode the lift to the main viewing deck. The views were great, even on such a dull day. I liked the fact that a helpful staff member was able to talk us through those Naval ships currently in port - they included the huge aircraft carrier, HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Diamond. The latter had only returned from the Middle East a couple of days earlier after shooting down Houti drones over there. From the high viewing deck you can climb stairs to a small cafeteria and then go even higher to a smaller viewing area open to the elements.

All good but I was a bit put off by the price of the entrance fee.

Needing a break from our annual Southsea Dance Festival pilgrimage, we were originally looking to add to our collection of ships visited at the historic docks after Marie Rose and Victory in the last two years. The price for the Warrior would have been around 60 quid for my 10 year old and I. I spied a palatable online Spinnaker Tower ticket, meaning we could both come and go for not much more than £20. Compared with other comparable experiences such as CN Tower Toronto this was amazing value and so despite having done it before, we went for it. The staff were super helpful and friendly and we were able to enjoy the views, pop down for some Gunwharf shopping, then come back for a hot chocolate at sunset. Absolutely brilliant and highly recommended.

Although the views are impressive, the entry fee is a little on the expensive side, I pre booked online before our trip and took the option of a slice of cake and a drink for £5 pp extra, be warned however that this is only for the ground floor cafe not the top one!

I guess if we hadn’t had the snack we would have been up and down within half an hour.

The glass panel (60mm thick) is not at all scary to walk across.

Staff were friendly even though it was very busy. Which is always nice.
