This is not like any museum to be honest it's a house with certain interests, bugs, bees, flowers, dinosaurs, a-z animals. You get in for FREE so maybe if you have time but it's not something important.

This is a cute little museum in an excellent location if you have young children. It's right next to the Canoe Lake and its environs, so very easy to access as part of a wider day out on the pedalos etc. It's a freebie, so I think it would be churlish to criticise it too much, but thankfully it doesn't... Lovely little local museum, with enough to keep small ones interested as well as older ones! Definitely worth a visit:)

A free museum with a range of exhibits. Quite small and doesn't take long to look around. Some interesting interactive activities. A little basic and looks like it could do with some investment. Relies on donations. Nice little shop though.

Despite being a regular visitor to Portsmouth for many years, I didn't actually realise there was a Natural History Museum here! It is very good for a free admission museum. Lots of stuffed animals and birds, very well displayed with info to read about each exhibit. We found all the information to read about the Portsmouth area very interesting and... More

It doesn't cost to visit here, but they rely heavily on donations so it's good to donate when you do visit although it isn't forced upon you. It's a cute museum in a house, so as you can imagine it isn't huge. It's a bit quirky, there is a lot of different things all thrown together. But it is very... More

My partner dragged me here, it did not appeal to me lots of stuffed creatures. However children would like this and it was free so something to do on a rainy day.

Great little museum, really well presented for small people and we learnt a good few things too, the butterfly area will be great when done as its a lovely space, with plenty of seats. We were killing time but it turned into a lovely hour 😀

Good little museum to have a look around for half hour or so. Lots of infomation about the local wildlife, my children loved the replica of the bird watching area. The bees are fascinating to watch (and listen to!!) There's a big activity room for children that could probably do with a few more activities in but still plenty for... More

This is a small little museum, with lots of stuffed animals, plus a bit of history of how dinosaurs come about, plus the bees are fascinating to watch. The museum takes about an hour or so to go around. There is a nice play room for children with some activities for little ones. There is no cost to the museum.
