The good: staff are nice, the lady doing the otter feed and info was knowledgeable. At the entrance are some little step stools for kids to use to see into the tanks better. Brilliant idea as two of my kids are small and it really helped to see everything that much better. Some interesting species. For a family of 5... More

Great place to take the grandchildren on a wet or windy day , when the beach is not an option . Wonderful tanks with a broad selection of fish and aquatic creatures . Accessible for all ages and wheelchair or pushchair users

We spent about three hours in this aquarium on what was a thoroughly wet day outside and enjoyed the experience enormously. We listened to two very good talks and made good use of the display boards, although some were hard to read because of poor lighting. The gift shop was very down market with very few quality goods. We were... More

Rather ambitiously I paid for 2 hours parking thinking the aquarium may require more than an hour, how wrong can I be, even after two laps we were done well under an hour. Overall the inside of the building is extremely tired looking, flaking paint, cobwebs, signs and smells of damp. I remember the sting ray area from visits as... More

There is a lot of complaints about the pricing and how small this place is. Yes this aquarium is small but for its size I was expecting less. It is perfect if you need to waste an hour or so. I took my disabled brother here. I paid full price as I didn't know if there was a discount and... More

The images on the website do not reflect the reality!!! The underwater tunnel is about 1m long and the tank is tiny. Half the light bulbs above the tanks are broken so you can;t actually see anything about the fish even if you wanted to read anything. This aquarium is showing its age and needs a refit. I feel sorry... More

Came here with my two year old this morning thinking have a nice morning out couple of hours looking at the fish and Animals. We walked around it in 15 minutes. It smelt awful and looked awful too. All the tanks were dirty and water was cloudy. Went to look at feeding time at 11 and nobody was there. My... More

I hadn't visited the aquarium in Portsmouth since i was a child at which point it was a SeaLife Center. I wasn't sure what to expect now, but on a rainy Saturday it seemed like an ideal activity with my girlfriend. Entry was very reasonably priced and i was very impressed with the range of displays within. The Otter feeding... More

Luckily I found a voucher to visit here but even £8.50 was overpriced. The place had a smell of rotten eggs, it was dark and dingy and looked old and tired. We were out of there in 20 mins. Waste of money! The outside had a sand area which is fine in the summer but for an autumn day there... More

We visited the aquarium with our two young children for a family day out. We paid just over £30 and I can quite honestly say it was a complete rip off. We walked around it in 40mins!! The whole place is tired looking and smells, the fish tanks appeared too small for the size and amount of fish. They also... More
