Well worth a look for half and hour

Surprisingly interesting museum in the heart of the village. Just a nice size to spend half and hour or so browsing and learning about village life in the 19th century.

This is a small museum in a lovely town: it houses many interesting and unusual country tools and historical artefacts as well as cabinets with displays of Police uniforms from many countries as well as tools of the trade. It's not overloaded and the items are well displayed.

This quaint little museum is above the tourist information centre. You'll only need less than an hour to see police history collected from around parts of the world.

This is a small but interesting museum - most if it concerned with Police - with some really interesting exhibits. My friend and I spent some time looking at the history of the law in the local area - it was really amusing the things that people got up to and were fined for was amazing. There must have been... Interesting museum documenting the history of Winchcombe and policing, not just in the village, but the world. Lots of info, some in folders, well worth a flick through. Especially the one about crimes heard in the court room in the 1800s. At £2 a pop this museum was excellent value for money. Manned by volunteers who really know their stuff... More

It's a small museum but very interesting. If you are in the area you must visit as only £2.00 per person, the lady on the reception was so lovely plus gave us ideas of other places to visit in the area. Lovely warm welcome.

I enjoyed my visit to the Winchcome Folk and Police Museum. It is small, but has some interesting displays with information on local history and occupations that no longer exist, as well as many police uniforms and police history. I am giving the museum 3 stars instead of 4 because the entry fee is a bit high.

We all enjoyed ourselves. The kind gentleman who let us in was ever so friendly. £5 for up to an hour of really interesting local history and police history was well worth it. Our son loves police so the ehhibition was right up his street, as much as there is stamped into one large room there is so much to... More

What an unexpected gem this place is. We had a bus to catch so rushed our visit. May well return another day. Owner was on duty when we visited and is fascinating to listen to. Highly recommended.
