Stroud town centre, from car park at Merrywalks ,is like climbing a mountain. To get to the top only to find nearly all the shops are banks, betting shops and charity shops. What a waste of time, thought they’red be more to do and see....More
Turned up at 7.30 pm on weds to find the shutters half down and the doors unlocked. Somebody inside said they were closed but not sure if permanent or not as no signs on the door or anything on the website. Wasted journey.
It's a pretty standard indoor bowling but the staff are friendly and polite. It's on the top floor of Merrywalks car park and there is ample parking. You need to follow the car park directions as it is fiddly to find.
Plenty of alleys but some nights like a weekend, could be worth booking first as it is popular. Place is nice and clean, staff are friendly and there is a bar and food is cooked to order. Car parking is payable but not expensive.
Slow service even though the place was empty. Then somehow he added £10 each for 2 people and 3 year old bowls free up as £24, until I highlighted that 2x£10 is £20!

Went for the welsh open tournament never been to these tournaments before and it was a great center took us a while to find our way to the car park but other than that food was good and great value going again next year thanks.

Decided on a bit of bowling while visiting Stroud and I'm pleased we did.
Had to ask where it was as was up the top of the building. Once in staff were friendly, bowling and drinks were cheap.
