I have played this course several times and although a stern test this is a real treat. The cause follows the Cotswold Way walk and is surrounded by the very best of views. I mention a stern test but if you can keep your ball in or at least close to the fairway it is a challenging course played as... More

The club restaurant is called Foxtons, if you see this sign and go past it then more fool you. We arrived very muddy and dirty but had a very friendly, warm welcome even though they were busy with a private party. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The food is good old fashioned grub and plenty of it. The... More

This is a restaurant 'inside ' a golf club. "Horton's at Painswick Golf Club" Visited for 3rd time for Sunday Carvery. Again great food with friendly service. This is a true carvery with 'real food' and great selection of meats and veg.Booking recommended as it is very busy (no surprise there).

Having called in on a few day-time occasions for coffee and cakes while walking with a friend and his dog, I have been impressed by the friendly welcome we received and the quality of the snacks and the service. With my husband, I attended a Saturday evening concert held here as part of the Painswick Artburst Festival and was even... More

A short natural golf course set across the Painswick Beacon. But a challenging course with some fantastic views of the 5 counties. Unique par 3's - interesting par 4's and just 1 par 5 for ladies 2 for the men. In excellent condition considering no water system in place. Beautiful orchids to be view if you find yourself in the... More

Yes, the course has great views and is challenging, not only from the point of view of difficult terrain and blind holes but most especially from the general public, most of whom seem unaware that there could be golf balls flying around! Many amble across fairways and allow their dogs to run where they will. It was not enjoyable for... More

we recently played here has a 4 ball, what can I say if was awful, there were people everywhere with dogs in toe, there were lot's of shared fairways where you just don't know where to stand for fear of being hit by a ball, children ran all over the course as we were trying tee off, and twice we... Painswick Golf Club, is situated on the outskirts of Painswick village on the peak of the hill surrounded by what appears to be an ancient fortress, very nice area for walking, the site is open to the public and from the beacon on a clear day you can see as far as the Severn crossing bridges, the Forest of Dean,...
