There is parking at two ends of the escarpment (one signposted and one not).
Walking across the golf course to the old Iron-age fort is a great couple of hours for the dogs or the kids. Wonderful views.
There is a nice walk up through beech woods to the NW of the golf course. Other walks intersect the golf course so be careful not to frustrate the golfers! Lovely views, and a meal at The Painswick Hotel after is ace.
