About
Prescott Hill Climb, based just outside of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is home to one of the world's most prestigious motor racing venues. Set in 60 acres of glorious Cotswold countryside, the estate not only provides a beautiful setting for a range of classic car and bike weekends, but also hosts major motor racing championships. The Bugatti Owners Club was established in 1929 for all motoring enthusiasts regardless of what type of vehicle you drive. The Club is based at Prescott and purchased the estate in 1937, converting the muddy, rutted drive into a speed hiil climb in time for the opening rally in April 1938. The 1127 yard course rises over 200 feet via short straights, fast and slow corners and a breathtaking hairpin, with the fastest modern racing cars completing the course in an exciting 36 seconds. The action can be viewed from strategic points along the course as well as from the restaurant terrace. Visitors and competitors alike can enjoy an exhilarating days racing plus vintage cavalcades up the Hill. Whether you are a competitor, a car or bike enthusiast or someone who just likes a day out in beautiful surroundings Prescott is the place for you.

What a venue what a sight , if you love cars this is the place and the VSCC event is the one you could spend a day in the paddock surrounded by the exotic race cares of there day to the oddest specials . Each car has it's own beautie and then add to that they get raced up one of the finest hill climb hills in the world. On Sunday you could spend as long in the car park where there is every kind and age of car you can think of

Today I attended the driving school at Prescott Hill Climb; WOW! Having worked in events for over 10 years I understand the work that goes in to make events magical and the awesome team at Prescott did just that!
Arrival was at 8am where check in was easy and efficient, everyone registered and cars sorted (waterproof covers at the ready). There were about 40 of us with a wide range of cars and an even broader range of skill levels, from the very much novice like myself through to competing drivers. A really friendly bunch.
After a little chat in the paddock we were invited up to the clubhouse for a bacon bap and a coffee; once we were all seated an introduction from the instructors; "those that can do those that cant....teach" is definitely not the case here - all of the instructors have competed (or still do) with some of them, Championship winners and record holders.
On to the hill walk, some real insight into how to approach and handle the corners; what seems like the natural line really doesn't apply at Prescott; the apex's are a lot later than I thought they would be. The instructors wanted to be there, to answer all our questions and help us get the most out of the experience.
Now we are in our cars doing a convoy run up the hill before being let loose to give it a go; concentrating on the lines and gradually increasing the speed.
We went on a continuous loop, we were told we should get about 4 attempts in each before lunch but with no issues and everyone staying on the track we managed to get 6 in each!
Lunch was provided, there were a few choices and everyone seemed happy; the cheesecake was awesome and I definitely recommend it! Towards the end of lunch we had some video feedback and the opportunity for more questions.
Back to the track for another couple of hours, this time managing to get 5 more runs in. With the feedback from the instructors; watching my videos back I reckon they helped me shave 5-6 seconds from my original lap time.
We finished up in the clubhouse for another video feedback session, more cake and a certificate for all those that took part. There was an award for the best driver and one for the most improved; neither of which I won though 😂
Just a thoroughly amazing day; a massive thanks to all that were involved today! Cant wait to do it again!

Sadly we had to arrange the funeral for our son, a petrol head.
To be fair, I am very familiar with Prescott Speed Hillclimb, as I marshal there frequently.
Family members chose the The Clubhouse for the wake.
Gemma and her team looked after us all superbly both before, during and after. And all of the special requests that we made were arranged.
Guests - many had travelled from afar were either most impressed or utterly gobsmacked by the venue - there are few nicer places on a sunny day.
Highly recommended, and thank you to all the team at Prescott.

This was our first visit to Prescott Hill Climb and we arrived on Friday to camp for 2 nights. The Reception staff were helpful and Nigel (Head Groundsman) and Scott (the Bar Manager) were attentive, helpful and friendly to the extent they lent us cutlery and gave us BBQ kindling we’d forgotten.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend, the venue was immaculately presented and we will be back for future weekends.

We went to the sports club bar one night whilst attending a fantastic hill climb event. The Bar Manager was extremely angry with me for bringing in a bottle of beer from the campsite where we were staying. I knew nothing about the bar and was shouted at very aggressively and told to leave. If the staff had been less aggressive we might have been tempted to spend some money in the bar, their loss. Zero customer satisfaction equals no profit.

Recently visited Prescott for our school leavers prom. Although the venue was fantastic it was let down by terrible management and rude staffing. The assistant manager told us (aggressively shouted) on a number of occasions to shutup and got into a number of arguments with various guests. They also refused to open windows which without Air-conditioning made the room very warm and uncomfortable especially towards the end of the night when people began dancing. I rarely leave complaints however after being treated like children by rude staffing I wanted to prevent nights being ruined for others.

We went to the "Autumn Classic", our first time to Prescott. The event and venue was well organised, reasonably priced and completely uncrowded compared to our experience down at Goodwood over the last few years. The views from the top of the hill near Prescott House is fantastic. This was such a good day out that would suit the whole family even if some only had a modicum of interest in cars.
You can get right amongst the cars in the pits, nothing is fenced off as at other venues so you really do feel part of the action. There's the Bugatti museum on site too. Check their calendar as they host so many events throughout the year, if there is one on during your stay in the Cotswolds, it's well worth visiting.
Prices for food & beverage very reasonable too. The only mark against them is allowing the pitch sellers to set up between the bar and the track, thus blocking the view whilst you had lunch. A minor complaint really for what is otherwise an excellent well run venue.

No dogs allowed which isnt expected of an outdoor venue, and staff on site extremely rude and have terrible attitudes. Will not be returning nor will I recommend to anyone. Much better reception by staff at the likes of shelshy Walsh and Silverstone and other race courses. Hugely disappointing.

Been coming here for 30 years as both a spectator in a Riley Gamecock and competitor in an Amilcar/Riley and it never fails to impress; The car park is filled with mouth-watering machinery and the competitors bring everything from a motorised kitchen sink to the most beautiful vintage machinery; with the Toddington GWST trains poop-pooping in the background and members buzzing the venue in Tiger Moths and Spitfires, this is one of England’s all-time great summer treats – on a par with Goodwood, Lords and Henley – a must go-to event – highly recommended

As my husband is an amateur racer here it was the obious choice as a wedding venue for us.
As they have not had many weddings here - only one before us, we were alittle concerned with how it might all pan out.
I have to say AMAZING does not quite cover the day we had. Ciaran organised everything that we requested with ease. Even our request to try and have the whole reception outside on the lawn overlooking the historic race track was accomodated along with an afternoon tea style beginning at the front of The Clubhouse for our guests on arrival to the a sumptious hog roast buffet Wedding Breakfast was delicious. The inside of The Clubhouse was transformed into a party area for our Evening Reception with more than enough room for our 100 guests, a disco and a live band!!
If you are looking for a unique and original wedding venue then i would strongly urge you to look here at The Clubhouse - not only the food and set up but the location and track provide a stunning back drop for your photographs and we still have people commenting to this day on how fabulous it was!
I can only thank all at Prescott for making the most special day of our lives even more amazing!!!! THANK YOU!
