We come here almost every weekend to window shop, have a coffee, and sit outside the wine bar to watch the world go by. We love the boutiques and art gallery. We gave a wander down to the park and back. It is pretty much our favourite place.

An area of elegant buildings, chic shops, quaint and different eateries near to calm and pleasant parks and gardens. There is something for all here - above all a chilled and relaxed atmosphere

Loads of nice cafes, restaurants and shops close to Imperial gardens and Montpellier Park. Also only a short walk to the High Street which has the usual shops.

If you go to the tourist information office you can get a map giving you a guided walk of Montpellier district. This is worth doing as takes you round all the area and points out buildings of special interest. Very attractive Regency architecture. I recommend doing this walk .

We wandered around the area taking in the parks and independent shops on a warm Sunday afternoon. The weather is essential - I'm not sure it would be so appealing in the rain.
