I just finished five days of walking on the Cotswold Way (Chipping Campden to Dursley). I got a lot of help from this forum in planning the trip, so I thought I'd give back some observations from the walk: 1. I am a trekking pole convert now. This was the first time using them and they helped tremendously with the... More

My sister and I used Cotswolds Walks (Andrew Guppy) to plan our route and book our accommodations. Everything went like clockwork. Upon arrival, at the end of the day, our bags were in our rooms. The accommodations were either small inns or pubs (I like the pubs the best). Our route took us from Cheltenham, Winchcome, Chipping Camden, Broadway and... More

We thought we would be walks through quaint Cotswold villages and while we did walk through some, most of the walk was through paddocks and countryside. Although we had a travel guide book with maps and a map as well, it found the walk poorly signposted often and got lost a few times. We were lucky with the the weather... More

My husband and I walked the Cotswold Way for 7 days from Chipping Camden to Uley on a self guided tour with Cotswold Walks ( Andrew Guppy). Our friends from the Basque Country in Spain joined us for the last three days of the walk. We all loved the pace and beauty of the walk and the variation in the... More

I walked the Cotswold Line alone with Cotswold Walks (Andrew Guppy) in May. The accommodations were quite comfortable (and having my luggage moved was absolutely worth the money) and the directions were incredibly detailed. I got lost just once, and Andrew Guppy was on the other end of the phone line to help me out. I cannot say enough good... More

My family of 6, ages 16 to 52, hiked 8 days on this destination hike. The scenery was even more beautiful than I expected. The hills were extremely challenging but nevertheless, our family truly enjoyed the hike. We most appreciated visiting this area by foot, with most of our sites being what you can't see from the road in a... More

We were only in the Cotswolds for a few days so didn't quite have time to complete the whole of the Cotswold Way. However we found some circular walks on the National Trail website. We completed 2 of these - The Leckhampton Loop and Cranham Cooper's and the Beechwoods. Both of these were great walks and challenging at times. Would... More

Everything regarding the logistics went like clockwork and to arrive at your B&B in the afternoon with your luggage waiting in your room is defenitely my cup of tea when it comes to walking. Can't wait to come back. Don't miss The Fox Inn in Broadwell. Best pub ever.

The variation in scenery from Bath to Chipping Campden makes this a very good walk. If the weather is fine then the views to the west are fabulous, particlarly from the northern part of the trail. Don't be fooled into thinking the Cotswolds are gentle walks though - you will need boots and there are some fierce ascents and descents... More

I have walked the complete trail of over 100 miles in length 3 times, and usually most weeks visit various parts. a must for walkers, and ideal for a week's holiday. Buy a guide book, ensure you embrace the history of the north and south Cotswolds AONB. Excellent conditions under foot, accessible by bus; convenient for overnight stops. Suitable car... More
