We have the support of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and their early surveys have already acknowledged the presence of Otter and Water Vole on the site with over 60 species of bird recorded and hundreds of plant and insect species. The Discovery Zone offers a dry area to explain the Life Cycle of the Egg and the Life of Birds, seating and soft play area. We also have ‘Trigg Hall’ our new Conference/classroom/lecture theatre facility which will expand our educational facilities for schools, the visitor experience and small business conferences. We went as a couple on my 27th birthday but I think I was more excited than most of the children! This is a great attraction for animal lovers of all ages. The staff were fantastic and so knowledgeable about the animals and there's plenty of chances to get up close with various birds (and tortoises). The penguins are definitely a... More

Enjoyable day out. Parking was £4 Drinks and food OK and reasonably priced. Penguins stink of fish... But then they would as that is what they eat! Lots of birds in cages... And lots of large dinosaurs in the woods.

I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by our visit. The number of penguins on display is far more impressive than the few that can be seen at Whipsnade. The birds have obviously been carefully chosen to appeal to the widest possible audience - all were interesting as were their accompanying notes . The added bonus was... More

We visited Birdland on a bank holiday Sunday in May. The weather was superb, hot and sunny. There is a car park adjacent but fills up very quickly and almost as expensive as the entrance fee. Entry is through a small cabin/shop. Then there is a short walk to the birds. The toilets were being renovated but were still going... More

Visired today with my 2 year old Grandson. He loved the Penguins and spotting the dinosaurs. Grounds generally well kept and was good to see money being invested to improve some of the aviaries, although penguin enclosure could have been better. Down points were lack of equipment for small children in the play area and most disappointing hot food only... More

My little boys enjoyed their trip to Birdland. The best part was the feeding of the Penguins which is a must. My eldest enjoyed the dinosaur park as well. It's called Jurassic journey

I went with my 5 year old and they loved every minute of it, from watching the Penguins being fed to the dinosaur trail. I have to say that I would go back again, and if you buy online you get a cheaper deal.
