Glad that we spare time here. Nice lovely walk along the river and enjoy with duckling and swan who also enjoy themselves!

Bibury is too small, there is nothing special (only the trout farm, if you are interested, good with kids imo). But, on the other way, if you plan some longer trip around Bibury, it is very nice then.

Much of the year the trout in the river here can be seen lazily holding station waiting for food to come to them which it frequently does in the form of crumbs from the tourists (though feeding the ducks is not approved). In several places...More

We couldn’t believe our luck our view from our bedroom overlooking the Coln River, and all our walks started and ended by this River.

Looks more like a wide creek than a river, but it is probably defined by length, not width, as in the US. Bibury developed along it, and the medieval weavers during the boom in the wool trade certainly needed it. Now the trout farm (right...More

There'a a lovely 4 mile circular walk starting in the centre of Bibury which goes past the church, Arlington Row and other building not seen by most of the tourists. Crosses through woods, fields, streams and a short road stretch. Can by quite muddy in...More

Even though the River Coln flows lazily through the village of Bibury, it's still part of the history and culture. Villages settled around rivers for water, transportation, and cleaning. Though I didn't visit it, there is a trout farm in Bibury. I did have delicious...More

Muddy but worth it for the views, such beautiful scenery as we followed the river for about 3 miles. Helped by some remaining snow it looked stunning, I would imagine that it is majestic in the summer.

River runs through many Cotswold villages. Exceptionally clean and plenty wildlife to see. Worth a walk along its banks.

At this point the Coln seems like a stream or creek. But it flowed along nicely. Someone in our group pointed out a blue kingfisher nestled in the flora which was an added benefit of the tour.
