This place is absolutely fantastic. The only reason I ever go to Lewes is to go in here. You can always find a little gem at a reasonable price, and the shopkeepers are often up for a bit of a haggle. Highly recommend going in here if you're ever nearby! It asks me to say when I went. I've at least 10 times. That is how much I like it! You can always find something new!

Probably the best Antiques shop in Lewes (where we have an embarrassment of riches). Lots of stalls with a variety of different nick nacks and curios... Something for most pockets. And dogs get a treat!

If you enjoy poking about in places where you might find something unusual or old or just what you have been looking for for years then this is the place to go. No pretence, no snobbery.

So very disappointed by the owner’s attitude towards customer safety during this COVID-19 crisis. Given that the ruling on face masks came into force yesterday, she was allowing people into the shop with no face coverings. When I asked her about this (as I wanted to point out this breach in case she hadn’t seen them) her immediate reply was that the rule didn’t apply to their shop and that she’d rather take their custom over mine as she objected to my challenging her. I had asked the question in a calm manner, but she immediately jumped to being angry and combative.
When a store owner values profit over public health, I would never support this and would recommend avoiding this store until either the pandemic is over or they change their policy.
In terms of the store I would say their is plenty of stock to see but disappointed by the prices which were far too high

We had fun rambling round, and the place is worth a visit as it is quite atmospheric. But, try as hard as we could, we couldn't find a little souvenir. This is more junk shop than antiques, and prices are erratic because there are various stalls.

I’m simply going to the crunch of it. It’s NOT an oversight. The attached image showing ‘blackface’ as it’s more acceptably known. I remember it being the Golly*** from the adverts in childhood for the marmalade I gladly ate. No, it’s not acceptable that things like this are still on sale.
Other than that! It’s a flea market with not much else going on. But THAT is going on :(

Thank you for your comments and the publicity. There are many things that offend or are found unacceptable. My personal dislike is the Roman Catholic Church.
I hope we can agree to disagree.AW

I spent over 1 hour wandering around this wonderful place, there must be something for everyone in here..
Brought back some childhood memories with some of the items for sale..
I didn't buy anything in the end,but I most certainly could have...
If your looking for something different,I would certainly recommend this shop..10/10..
If you have some spare time and looking for something to amuse yourself,I also would recommend this place..
Pay and display car park is just a stone's throw away from the shop,so this also is a plus.

You never know what you are going to find in the varied assortment of things in this flea market. I bought a fireman's helmet for a party. Unpretentious and generally better value than the antiques shops in town - though don't expect to discover high value items.

We came across this hidden gem while having a coffee in Lewis. There are lots of hidden treasure and a bit like an Aladdins Cave. Well worth a couple of hours of rummaging through all the treasures.
Thoroughly recommend.

Wonderful and varied selection of antiques and collectibles spread over two floors. Prices seemed very competitive too. Handily located near the town centre and castle. Probably the most interesting of the several antique outlets in the town.

No idea about trains as we drove there. The flea market is very near the centre, not far from the castle down a side street.
