Decided to visit the caves as we were in Hastings for the day. Took ages to find them . Very very poorly signposted I thought. Spent nearly a hour in the caves . Couple of the attractions weren't working . Everything was pretty dated and old fashioned. Was it worth the money??. Just about I reckon .. would we visit... More

We bought a pass for this, the castle and the aquarium. We enjoyed it and it was well laid out and interesting. Our toddler enjoyed the lights and some of the models but there was a couple of bits she found scary such as the smuggler in the jail rattling the bars.

I did this activity many times and it is always as much fun to go down these caves and listen to these pirates stories.

Quite a few interactive exhibits weren't working. No audio guide for foreign visitors, although information boards do have translations. Expensive in my opinion.

Hidden away within a nice park overlooking the old town of Hastings, lies this little gem. We really didn't expect the caves to be as large as they were, where you are left wondering around for quite some time, whilst fed very well orchestrated, video and audio, information regarding the caves past and it's numerous uses. A definite choice for... More

A fantastic adventure. Very interesting, lots to read about. Not that well signposted. You have to be careful walking about, low ceilings, uneven floors. Entrance fee was reasonable. Staff were so friendly.

A reasonable family attraction especially if your children love underground tunnels, stories of smugglers and weird lighting effects. We thought that it was a little expensive for what it was but it was entertaining. Some of the tunnels are very, very dark and even we had trouble seeing where we were going sometimes! Some of the waxwork-type figures could be... More

If you're in the area it's worth a visit, plenty of information about the history. Take the cable car up the West Cliff to the castle and walk across or be prepared for a lot of steps and steep hills to walk up from the old town.

Did not think it was worth the money. As it was quiet we walked around in 35 minutes. Good info on the Smugglers.

Dear Kevin M, Thank you for your review. We think we are very reasonably priced as many guests spends hours looking around the Caves. With so much information on Sussex smuggling as well as a rich history of St Clements Caves itself there is plenty to experience. Smugglers Adventure More
