This whole place needs doing up. Place is falling apart. Seats falling to bits, the screen smells damp and mouldy. The other cinemas in town are much nicer, modern and cost the same

I usually go to Showcase Cinemas but on a short break opted for The Odeon. From the front it looks like it’s closed. It really drags the look of the seafront down. The staff are all lovely but the cinema has a slightly grubby feel to it. Unlike Showcase they don’t have dimmed lights until the film starts so we had no idea where we were going and I can’t guarantee we even sat in the correct seats. Seats weren’t very comfortable either. Really disappointing as Odeon is a large chain. There is an Odeon Cinema where I live but on this showing I’ll never be in there.

Went in the afternoon while on a short break in Brighton. Definitely needs a refurbishment, but covid protocols were obvious, and plenty of staff to make sure you get to where you need to. Nothing to stop people sitting where ever they want in the screen, but it was fairly quiet and people behaved sensibly. Main change needed is to seating - if there was someone a bit tall in front of me that would have made my experience less enjoyable.

We had to walk out halfway through a film due how uncomfortable the seating, legspace and arm rests were. I’m quite tall and I appreciate that I will have to put up with less legroom than most but the chair in front of me was cutting into my knees! The arm rests are solid plastic and so short that you end up resting your arms on the ring meant to hold your cup….this is the first time I’ve been to a cinema and my arms were going numb due to the armrests! The seating was awful and it was so uncomfortable causing complete numbness we could not concentrate on the film. We were not the only ones to leave part way through. The last time I will visit this cinema when other cinema brands such as cineworld at the marina or crawley have great seating!

Where do I start….

Booked tickets online for Studio 7 - 5pm showing. No time to die. Quick and easy process.

Got there at 4.45pm. Nobody at the entrance to check tickets. Just walked in unchecked. Got to our seats okay - then to witness drunk winos and other uneducated slobs entering unchecked as well without paying. They were laughing and bragging about it.

I thought well surely staff will come and check tickets before the film starts. Nope! So these idiots (5 of them) all got in for free whilst we paid full wack at £12 a seat. Lovely.

Picture quality of the film was poor. Like the whole movie was in half light or bordering on darkness. Sound quality was dreadful - too much base and as if it was just mumbling. Had to really listen hard to understand what was going on.

This got so frustrating that I gave up after an hour and went to sleep.

Drinks and snacks were way overpriced so I refused to participate. £14.99 for a large box of Popcorn. Having a laugh.

Also, there was no savoury options for the Popcorn so of course no consideration for those who are diabetic.

Absolute rubbish old and tatty dump and that’s being kind.

No parking anymore, needs refurbishing & expensive.
Not giving any options for evening parking, which used to be available at Churchill Square, is a real disappointment. This isn’t advertised very well at all. Ticket prices should be reduced as a result, but they’re still unfathomably high. Used to go regularly, but it’s not worth it anymore…

Wewatched Avatar: The Way of Water in Screen 2, Wednesday 4th January 18:30. The cinema was like a sauna when we arrived and I asked others if they were too hot (we all agreed it was sweltering) so I asked one of the employees for the heating to be turned down. I was informed the heating had in fact been turned off and that it would cool down. I do not understand how it was allowed to get so hot given it was 12 degrees outside today. It barely cooled resulting in the most uncomfortable cinema experience especially given the film was over 3 hours long.

Odeon Brighton have stopped validating parking tickets in Churchill car park 1. Worse still the car park was closed so we were left with little time to find affordable places to park nearby. Would be nice if they could make this clear to customers before hand. Terrible experience and do not recommend you visit unless you do so by public transport. I for one would rather drive elsewhere!

Screens are awful in serious need of refurbishment, most uncomfortable seats I've sat on in a cinema, place is falling apart.

Saw Avatar here and row in front seats where covered in plastic with two big buckets for the dripping coming from the celling.

Real shame because could be a good cinema, reckon they could even fit an imax in here.

The Cineworld down in Brighton Marina is 10000000% better, very comfortable seating and good screen sizes, so if you plan on going to the cinema in Brighton go to the Cineworld at Brighton Marina, DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Went to watch Inside Out 2. The ticket was £15.5 per adult! 😲 We got the tickets and went inside. The seats were all (literally) dirty and mostly worn out and torn! ☹️☹️☹️ I wonder why it is still in business! Don’t recommend it at all! 👎👎👎
