We are situated in Telscombe cliffs & as the name suggests it is an area with historic East Sussex cliff views. One of our beer gardens is located at the top of the cliffs which is perfect for your event pictures or just to sit & relax with a drink & to take in the stunning views. The Greenwich Meridian Trail runs all the way along the cliff top to the rear of the pub, so a perfect place to start & stop for refreshments after a days hiking. Went for dinner Mon 22/5, which is 1/2 price mains night. Bottle of French SBlanc for £14 fruity dryish, Nacho's to start for 2, nicely baked (not like some dorito types) lots of jalapeño, bit sparse on cheese but very tasty. For mains Hunters Chicken served with jenga chips, thick coleslaw ( bit chunky), breast was big lovely BBQ sauce... More

New management has made a huge difference, the pub is welcoming and friendly. After the old dim atmosphere the place has become warm and welcoming. The food coming out of the kitchen has improved considerably in the last few weeks with more people coming in to eat. A pleasure to be there!

Whilst visiting from Australia we were taken to this great Pub to find the best home cooked meals, like Steak and Ale Pie and the biggest and best Lamb Chop and "Fresh Vegies" with mint gravy . Deserts are also very scrumptious. Thanks Luke for your hospitality and friendly staff. Sue and Chris (Perth W.A ) XX

Booked 8 of us for mother's day lunch and family get together. On arrival was told half the menu was cancelled for "efficiency" of service. Only a few tables were occupied but waited 45mins for simple food that was just appalling. Fish was rejected as it wasn't cooked and batter was soggy. Chips were also soggy and inedible, "new potatoes"... More
