My friends & I had a fab 2hrs on a rainy friday morning painting our pre-chosen items. Jules was really helpful & supplied all the extra bits like teeny sponges, paper & pencils, obviously along with paints & brushes. Everything was fully explained about building up the colours and what the outcome should be. She put on some relaxing background music which really added to the experience! We didn't feel rushed out the door at the end of the session either. Our pieces were left behind to be glazed and were then posted in one box, well bubble wrapped safely, which I received a week later. We are all so pleased with the results, better than we hoped for too. 4 very happy girls!

We ordered a wedding plate for guests to sign at my daughter's wedding. It looks amazing and the cafe added some little red hearts as a finishing touch! Excellent service and highly recommended.

Another fantastic visit to wonderful, creative cafe in Brighton. Despite the bizarre situation (Covid) it was a smooth and productive trip. It was easy to contact to book, select pottery and pay prior to the visit. The staff we flexible and considerate to our needs whilst making sure all customers present felt safe and well cared for. The explanation from Violet was as thorough as ever and her proactive and welcoming nature made us feel right at home. Looking for fun, family friendly activity? Or just wanna try our your arts skills? Need a new personal mug? Then the Pottery Painting Cafe is the place to go. 100% assurance that you'll have no regrets!

My boyfriend bought us evening class spaces to make soup bowl and garnish bowls. This was a loose theme - you were encouraged to get as creative as you wanted with the design and function of the bowls. We got to try different styles of pottery making with pinch pot creations, mould made bowls and we got to learn the basics of pottery wheels and 'throw' our own bowl/mug/jug. I found the pottery making evening one of the most relaxing things I've done in a long time. There was no pressure of be good first time - there was as much clay as you wanted and needed and no time pressure, the evening didn't feel rushed at all. We went back a few weeks later and got paint our pieces and we are very happy with the results! The staff were so friendly, welcoming and encouraging to everyone, it was a lovely atmosphere to learn in.

I attended the January evening class with Holly. We were making a “Soup Bowl and Garnish Bowl”. With Holly and Katie’s support I ended up with a soup bowl and two garnish bowls. A few weeks later I returned to paint my pieces and again had lots of support. Today I collected my finished items and am really pleased to have taken three lumps of clay and made three useable and unique items.
