- ArmadaIcyBrighton, United Kingdom136 contributionsFantastic venueAn excellent venue with great, modern bar and toilet facilities. I particularly like the fact this venue has the option of unreserved seats downstairs when there is a standing concert. This is great when you don't want to stand for the whole show. You can also get a view from them. Love this place and just wish it had more shows that I like more often!Visited April 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 22, 2023
- Aly JLondon, United Kingdom51 contributionsIdeal venueI went with my grown up daughter to see Rev Richard Coles and we had a fantastic evening. The venue is really nice. Easy parking nearby plus lots of handy restaurants. Staff were helpful and we liked the choice of two bars in the interval (one was non-alcoholic and served tea, coffee etc.) It was a bit of a drive for us but would definitely go again.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 16, 2023
- MOTO MATT129 contributionsGreat venueBeen to the Dome many time and always enjoyed coming. Plenty of leg room, goodview of the stage, plus friendly and helpful staff. Seats start of seeming comfortable not some reason by the end I have a num bum. Overall there is definitely no need to worry about this venue.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 30, 2023
- DodgyDiversChichester, United Kingdom5 contributionsGreat disabled access and helpful staffAttended an event with my friend who has MND. There was plenty of disabled parking nearby and access to the venue was easy. Once inside we made our way to the stalls area which is all on the same level from the street but we found that out allocated seating was down some steps which would have proven difficult to access. The staff were extremely helpful and quickly found us more accessible seating and an area to park the mobility scooter. We had a good view (better than our allocated seating) and were very close to disabled toilet which required a Radar key (which we had). A great night out made enve greater by the wrong and helpful staff, thank you.Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten February 20, 2024
- Edward the dogChichester, United Kingdom1,832 contributionsWe look forward to our return. We came here Saturday night. A beautiful looking building from the outside, the foyer nice and a busy bar area, albeit a bit cramped. Clean toilets, a bit of a strange shape though with two entrances, basicly a long aisle. The theatre itself is big and spacious but the seats arnt very comfy. We look forward to our return next year.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 15, 2024
- mj l47 contributionsGreat experience.Great experience. Staff polite and friendly. Booking access tickets was near easy and the staff were very helpful with sorting out the tickets and seating. Upon arrival staff were very welcoming to the venue. The bar was good prices £2.50 for water or coke. I was also impressed with Van Morrison show. Thanks @ Brighton Dome for a great experience.Visited September 2024Traveled with familyWritten September 29, 2024

We paid £65.00 for two tickets to see a famous drag artist sign her new book.
The Dome had ridiculous covid restrictions in place, which I challenged by email.
It took them 16 days to respond and they were very impolite...
We had already decided we weren't going...
...Until a week we got an email saying the performance was transferred to the Old Market Theatre - We checked before we went and they had NO COVID restrictions.
What a joke!
Funnily enough a friend went to the Dome to see Russell Brand a few weeks later and she showed the QR code for something totally unrelated to the NHS or covid and was waved through by the security.

I have been to various theatre venues recently in Worthing, Chichester and Shoreham. The Dome is the only one requiring the unnecessary covid passport. This means it takes a very long time to get in to the venue. Unfortunately it was pouring with rain and despite the staff’s attempts to assist, a lot of people got soaked in the queue. The staff person who checked it made a cursory glance and couldn’t possibly have checked the date and whose phone it was so a pointless exercise. I won’t be going back until it stops

On a par wih the David Hockney 360 exhibition in London as far as the paintings go; loved the variety of screens available to look at and the soundtrack but there really wasn't enough seating (unless you can stand/sit on the floor comfortably for 45 minutes). The only screen with any text was on the left as you enetered the auditorium - our view of the lower half was constantly blocked by other people walking in or, mainly, standing directly in front of it. Apart from the very short entrance tunnel with a starry ceiling there wasn't really anything 'immersive' about it - no sunflower walk through and no perfume that i could smell.

We really enjoyed the Van Gogh experience, but after watching some of the You Tube offerings at other places, it looks as if Brighton fell short. I didn't see any head sets, which most other places seem to have and the lack of seating was a big minus, it meant that if you were fortunate to find one of the small benches you could guarantee someone would be standing in front of you.
The pictures, display and music were tremendous and we really enjoyed them.
It was a very enjoyable visit with some very pleasant staff to help us find our way around. It was good but could have been a lot better

I went here for a concert that I had been looking forward too all year. But about half way through the security guard unnecessarily started shouting at us telling us to get back in our seats when the majority of the people were standing. We were standing on the stairs because the people in front of us were standing up so I couldn’t see. The stairs didn’t block anyone’s view, but this security guard telling us to take me and my brother to the back so we can see but we probably had the best seats in the venue. After the concert we were discussing how much our experience went downhill and how we are not going back. We still had a great time but the security made this experience awful. I don’t recommend going here for this reason

We primarily went to Brighton to see the Royal Pavilion. However, the former Pavilion stables have been converted to an historic Brighton music venue the Brighton Dome. This venue has scene a wide variety of musical acts over its history but it is kind of one of those venues you have to check off in British music. We just saw the exterior which is designed to match the Pavilion as this exotic dream mess of various Asian architectures. The Dome is a part of a larger Brighton Arts Center that includes the art gallery.

Visited Brighton Dome last Saturday for the first time to attend an LSO concert. Parked in local NCP, cost £7.95. The beautiful auditorium was packed out. Performances were all fine, but the acoustic is disappointingly dry with very little bloom to the orchestral sound. Anyone thinking this is 'sublime' should visit Fairfield Halls, Croydon or Symphony Hall, Birmingham - both of which are excellent in this respect.

Van Gogh Alive ? What a complete rip off. £70 for two adults and a child. We were in there 10 minutes.
Room 1, some tiny pictures and boards explaining the artists life and periods.
Room 2, the so called " immersive experience" was some low resolution slides set to music. Quite frankly it looked like a PowerPoint done on a laptop..... Very badly.
Room 3 some fake sunflowers with mirrors behind them.
That was it ! A shocking rip off. How any of the reviews can wax lyrical about this thing I fail to understand.
The staff were stood around moping about and frankly looked embarrassed.
The quickest and and most worthless 70b quid I've ever parted with. Avoid at all costs. I reckon any positive reviews were left by the staff or people who took a trip before then went in.

We went on the Backstage Guided Tour, but the fellow whom was the tour guide is a regular employee/member of staff of the The Dome. He wasn't very good, and couldn't answer any questions. He just learned his lines by rote, and couldn't answer anything else. It was a bit boring, and you could tell he was sticking strictly to script. It would benefit The Dome to hire a professional tour guide with more personality and knowledge of the venue.

What are the circle tickets like... I've got tickets for row c in the circle i was wondering if these are close to the stage and if you can see from there??
Written April 9, 2021
Are there screens up to watch on, if you're far away from the stage?
Written December 1, 2019
No. Not at this venue.
It is a relatively small venue with good views of the stage from all angles.

Was wondering what the restricted view seats are like here? I’ve left buying Johnny Marr tickets last minute and these “restricted view” tickets are the only ones left. Help!
Written September 3, 2018
Sorry can’t help on that, but I’m sure if you contacted the Dome, they’d be able to help.
Written September 3, 2018
Are you allowed drinks, etc after security in the seated area?? Assuming water bottles will be disposed of, but just so you can drink whilst past that during the performance?
Written April 17, 2018
Yes, they serve drinks in plastic glasses to.

I was wondering what the general start time is for the gigs.

Thanks.
