A 2 mile walk right along beside the sea; lots of rock pools to explore when the tide's out and if the tide is high and the weather gusty the sea is likely to splash over the path and you can get soaked if you aren't quick enough. You can stop halfway for a coffee then continue on to the... More

I cycled the 2 miles from Rottingdean to the Brighton Marina and back again with my grand-daughter along that section of the Undercliff path. It's dead flat, with the sheer face of the cliffs on one side, a concrete wall the the beach on the other. It was an easy ride( and I haven't been on a bike for more... More

This is a man-made walk that takes the danger and the hills out of walking next to the sea. Cyclists, roller bladers and walkers mix well on this wide sea level walk. The local authorities which built this should be given much credit, well worth a lovely walk away from the traffic.

Make sure you visit the Undercliff Walk if you are visiting Brighton. I live in Brighton and regularly use this path. We start off either at the Palace Pier or Marina and the Cliffwalk starts just behind the large Asda superstore. The walk take you along a path beside the sea and will take around an hour to complete -... More

My partner and I walked from Brighton Pier to the Marina and then decided to walk through the Undercliff Walk as well. A very good view of white cliffs, and some beautiful views of the sea!

A lovely, if windy in March, walk. If you're a big reader of Jane Austen, and who isn't?, you feel very 19th century walking along this pristine bit of seaside.

So far I have only walked the Undercliff walk on the wet windy days, its fantastic if you don't mind getting wet here and there! I will of course make my way down there this summer to experience the good weather too ,im sure this will also be fantastic ! Park in the free marina carpark- don't get caught parking... More

Peaceful and calm on good days. Try to avoid when busy as cyclists and runners take up all the space. Dog walking and strolling along here is a good idea at good times of day usually pre 11 am. There are also cafes along the route to stop and have a drink or snack.

Fantastic stress and exertion-free (and free!) exercise from Brighton Marina to Saltdean and back. Reward yourself with a cup of tea and a piece of cake at the Ovingdean Gap cafe en route to your destination.
