The shops may change over the years, but the predominance of jeweler shops, print shops, boutiques and pubs (even one converted from a former church) make this warren of narrow cobbled, pedestrian-only corridors make for a lively and colorful visit. I even spotted a Pokémon or two! In and immediately surrounding The Lanes are many unique and exciting restaurants which... More

Very good if you want to buy expensive jewellery, and it is expensive not for those on a budget. Won't go again.

Absolutely loads of little boutiques , cafes, restaurants and pubs some can be quite pricey but you get what you pay for. Choccywoccydoodah is a must see! There are lots of old fashioned little alley ways it's full of culture and charm . One of our favourite places we went to whilst here

What a great way to spend time, just move around the lane to discover shops you may not see elsewhere, it's great fun getting lost in the small warren of lanes and then discovering the shop you were looking for when you started the day. The lane have history and are very attractive, if you've had enough of shopping, stop... More

Lots of shops, restaurants & art to explore in three areas. Well worth spending time here. Give yourself lots of time as there is so much to see & explore. Very bohemian and a delight to explore. Chocky Wokcky do dar well worth a visit & all the jewellery shops gave us something to dream over.

Love The Lanes. I have been visiting since I was a child. Lots of independent shops which makes a welcome change from the High Street chains. Definitely worth a visit.

I have been in Brighton for 1year and every time I walk in the Lanes it's amazing!!There is a magic atmosphere and seem to be in Diagon Alley (one of Harry Potter's place). The only thing that I dont like is that all the shops close really soon, also during the summer!

The lanes are mainly full of jewellery shops where you can but new or second hand jewellery. Wandering along the lanes browsing into the windows is interesting, the streets are tiny and normally busy. There is a chocolate store and coffee shop that is worth visiting Choccywoccydoodaa which is a chocolate treasure trove. Quite expensive but interesting to go in... More

Wide range of shops, cafes, markets and pubs. Great way to get lost in people, culture and shopping.

This is such a great area of Brighton, better than the Pier IMO. There are so many little lanes to explore and little shops all selling quirky items. You might even come across choccywoccydoodah if you're lucky.
