After too many years I am back in Brighton on a regular basis. The Lanes is one of the best places to shop in the UK outside of London, and it's very compact so you don't need to take Tubes to different places like one does in London. I refused to buy anything as I was with my wife just... More

Delightful shopping area quite snug and winding in places with a wide variety of interesting shops and bars. The best place to shop and explore in Brighton.

The famous lanes - plenty to see, fantastic shops and an amazing historical weapons and armour shop - nice selection of restaurants as well. Really love the Lanes in winter they feel so Victorian

Expensive but fun. Good restaurants and pubs. Great atmosphere in the run up to Christmas as the lights and street entertainment is good.

Never new so many jewellery shops could be crammed into a small area, amazing, and the sword shop is good too. Many unique shops too. Booked into a local hotel with a car park as parking is very difficult and expensive. Considering it was just before Christmas it was not too busy either. Would recommend

Have always loved the Lanes. Great variety of shops. Nice that there are still independent retailers .... stumbled on a flea market and street food stalls as well.

Come here a lot and love it every time some parts wheelchair friendly some not take sun cream on hot days and umbrella on cold wet days or all so can be cheap or expensive as you want it to be so might be a good idea to set a limited before you go xx

Lots of jewellery shops and restaurants mainly but there are other individual shops tucked away there too. The atmosphere is very festive at Xmas as the narrow lanes have lots of lights and feels quite victorian.

After many years we re-visited The Lanes yesterday. Very tasteful display of Christmas Lights added to the Festive feel of this fascinating area.

If you know and love the lanes then say no more. If you've never been then a place to visit. Eclectic stores and places to eat. Have a wander, have a drink, have a bite to eat either in the go or more formal sit down. Your choices are endless.
