Brighton is a busy, noisy, dirty city. It can be very difficult to get around because of the narrow roads, high volume of traffic and the construction work being done on the seafront. The Council seems to have a tolerant approach to refuse collection and limited recycling - unusual for a" green" city. Piles of uncollected rubbish in the streets.... More

An amazing area of Brighton, the best in fact. Packed with independent shops and an amazing flea market that you literally lose time in as there is so much to see. Many great places to eat and drink that cater for all tastes ☺

There's so much going on, pubs, restaurants, cafe's, boutiques, new and old shops! I'm not from Brighton myself so as a tourist I have to say that wondering through the lanes with my husband and eating and drinking coffee at lovely little independent establishments was certainly a great way to spend the day. North Laines are one of the most typical streets of Brighton, definitely to walk through if you are in Brighton. there are some nice coffee shops too.
