A work in progress

Take the railway from the pier to the marina to discover a wealth of places to eat and a marina worth seeing. A lot of building going on though so hopefully finished soon

First impressions of Brighton Marina are not helped if you come via the Volks Electric Railway from the Pier. One has to navigate what appears to be a bomb site before entering what is a very pedestrian unfriendly complex. After dodging through various car parks one finally arrives at what is a cinema/bowling alley/casino plus lots of rather grim chain... More

We went to the marina hoping to get a coffee but found that there was no parking on the ground floor where the disabled parking usually is - there were workmen there and the whole of the ground floor was sealed off. We tried to park as ASDA but all the spaces were taken near to the coffee shops so... More

Although there is plenty of parking, we were very disappointed in the Marina Complex, The shopping was cheap & of poor quality, The building work being carried out made sitting outside the pubs etc, noisy & dusty, On the water front is an old Chinese Restaurant, in a disgusting state, made the whole place look tacky & down market, Not... If you can ignore the ugly approach from Brighton Beach and the walk through the ASDA parking lot, the area with all the restaurants and boats and the walkway in between is quite pleasant. We chose to ignore all the chain restaurants and their patios by buying a picnic lunch at ASDA and sitting on one of the many benches... More

There is lots to do here but for me my favourite part of the experience was the ability to watch the tide come up and the whole marina float up with it. Great place for a day out.

Visited the marina in July 2016, just as the new developments open underneath the massive flats at the western end of the Marina. There's no shortage of eating houses before this development, but they have now added the following new flavours:- TGI Friday (but no cars hung from the ceiling!) Bella Italia, traditional Italian Las Iguanas, native Latin American Gourmet... More

We had a cottage in Rottingdean for a week and found the walk to the marina along the under cliff path lovely (2miles). The views at the marina were lovely and it is a great place to people watch but unless you go there to eat there isn't much else to do. Very few shops that are actually open.

Brighton marina is a busy and bussling shopping centre that is suited for all ages, its has plenty of things for the kids to do such as bowl plex, crazy golf, cinema, trampoling and water zorbing (in the summer), its is packed full of shops and restuarants right on the centre of the marina by the boats.

A rather run down marina several miles East of Brighton. If you happen to like pizzas then there is plenty of choice from one of the couple of dozen or so outlets. Also a large Asda on site if that floats your boat. Free parking but if you can't manage stairs then park on the ground floor as all the... More
