    Lovely
Been many time over years. Been a member off the ATG for 5+ year. There is only one negative is most (not all) of the seats don't have enough leg room for me, but I am 6'2. I have been so many time I do know what spot that have more leg room but I'm not going to share this with you (sorry)

Great evening watching The Simon and Garfunkel Story
We went to see The Simon and Garfunkel Story on a Friday evening. We had booked 6 months in advance via the ATG website and although wife does not remember choosing to include a VIP Experience we had this which gave us access to The Ambassador Lounge, a free glass of Prosecco and 2 tubs of crisps. Once we entered a staff member took us to the lounge. It was very small, it had 9 seats however we had a host who served the included drinks. We could also purchase additional drinks and order halftime drinks which were ready and waiting. As well as singing Simon and Garfunkel songs they told their story supported with video and photos and the whole evening was most enjoyable. They were accompanied by a bass and lead guitarist/pianist and a drummer, who were all fantastic. This is an old building, but theatre was nice. We were in the stalls, row J and our seats 14 & 15 were bang in the centre so we had a very good view of the stage. There were quite long queues at the ice cream stall, which clogged the area around the toilets. The ladies queue was huge and evening the gents were queuing. Getting out was also slow as the 2 guys singing went to the foyer to sign autographs and sell their CD's. We would go back assuming there was a band or show that interested us.

    Women in black was amazing
Beautiful theatre and friendly staff, women in black fantastic. Unfortunately the seats I originally booked in row a didn't exist anymore so we got moved a few rows back which was a shame. Bring a coat as the theatre is very cold.

    Drop The Dead Donkey
My husband & I visited in March to see Drop The Dead Donkey & loved the show! We had booked one of the Royal boxes & thought this was good value for money (only a few more pounds each than one of the main floor seats at time of booking). We had lots of leg room & a handy small table for drinks. Great view of the stage as well. The small bar at the back of the entrance was very busy but the queue moved quickly. The only downside was the cost of drinks each round -£19.00 for a large wine & vodka & tonic. Looking to see what shows they have on next for another visit.

    Great night out
We went to see Count Arthur Strong . Great show he is amazing! The theatre is a beautiful old building! Really loved it! We had special tickets with Peter talking us to a private lounge. It was brilliant. We had drinks and snacks all part of the tickets. If you go check out the package! Peter was brilliant kept us entertained until the start of the show! Then took us to our seats. Then was ready for us at the interval. He made the night for us! Great show, great customer service, Great night! We will be back!!!

Couldn’t wait to see this show as it toured after seeing it 4 times in the West End. It was good but not great sadly compared to the West End.

I appreciate it was a tour, the theatre smaller however it just didn’t live up to my expectations.

The original cast was beyond amazing, physically fitter, better dancers, singers and actors.

I certainly don’t feel like I had value for money and whilst I have been to other touring shows and found them equal to the West End shows - this one was not.

Being an avid theatre goer this was my first (and probably my last visit) to Theatre Royal Brighton!!
The theatre is so shabby and tired, virtually a non existent seating/bar area downstairs.
Unfortunately too the bar staff, (maybe they were new) didn't seem to have much idea - when I requested a coffee she didn't even know how to work the machine. Said they had a cloakroom but it was the same bar staff that took our coats, again had no idea having asked if I was member (which I am) and spent ages trying to work the till...even worse at the end of the performance, although probably only a couple of us had used the facility they had not put tickets on the coats so didn't know who's was who's!!!
The performance on the other hand was superb, Jennifer Saunders was totally splendid and the whole show was cleverly acted out. Again what should have been a very enjoyable afternoon was totally spoilt by the fact that although I had front row seats, I was seated at the end and had to keep moving to let people past. Also I was completely frozen by an extreme draught coming from the corner under the stage!!
Not a theatre I have any wish to return to in a hurry!!

I have been trying to speak to someone regarding a booking, been holding on for 2 hours, I tried emailing the website says they will respond in 15 days, which is too late, as the show is this week.

Such poor customer service, not everyone has access to a computer! I thought I was supporting the theatre by not requesting refund and waiting for the show to be re scheduled.

Looks like I'm going to have to make a 35 mile round trip, to speak to someone at the theatre to resolve my problem. I feel so frustrated and very disappointed.

Went recently on a spur of the moment decision to watch Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. The theatre is beautiful with a lot of character although it was extremely hot during the performances, as no air-conditioning which made it a little uncomfortable. Also we took more expensive tickets in the royal stalls at the end of the row, as they had more leg room, but this meant that you could not see part of the stage which in this show was unfortunate as a lot of the scenes were to the left of the stage.

One great experience was with the booking office, Ian. He was so patient and humorous whilst we tried to figure out the best places and kept changing our minds! He definitely added to the positive experience of the theatre.

I'm really sad to have to write a poor review for this wonderful theatre. My issue is with their outsourced ticketing company ATG tickets. The theatre cancelled a show I was due to see. It was disappointing but I'm not blaming the theatre for the cancellation. Their booking representative however would not refund the cost of the tickets, only provide a voucher. It's next to impossible to contact them (or for that matter the theatre to see if they could help). I've had to claim directly from my credit card company. I was looking forward to the show and instead had two hour's hassle to get my money back!!

One the positive side, a sensational show of the fisherman's friends and great young ticket staff.

On the negative, very slow through the front door, a building restricted by its design, far top few women's cubicles resulting in long queues. Many seats very uncomfortable if you are over 4 foot eleven.

One simple fix would have made our experience watching Ruby Wax a whole lot better: Volume! We sat in the 'second circle' and could barely hear what Ruby was saying; I didn't even see a speaker system for the second circle seating area. Also - there was a lot of noise from staff and their talking and from their walkie-talkies. Really disappointed at this place. Going to the theatre isn't cheap so to not be able to hear is a fundamental era on behalf of of this theatre. And please don't say it's in the incoming production houses that control the volume - YOU are responsible for this. Your house manager should do a walk round at curtain up, once audience is seated, and do a sense check on lighting and volume. Other people were saying the same thing at the interval. We left at the interval and felt cheated from seeing this great talent.

Its a very "Grand" old theatre. I understand that, and that is the appeal for most theatre goers, BUT they must improve the toilet facilities! I was booked into the "Royal Circle" Around 200 seats, and TWO ladies toilets. People were queuing up the stairs (in peoples way) and nearly into the bar. The toilets did not flush! (took longer as ladies were waiting for the cistern to refill so they could flush, which was never gonna happen)! Most of the break was taken up with queuing for the toilets! The other thing was that they didnt open the bar for at least five minutes when we were all stood on the stairs waiting for our pre-ordered drinks. We were told "There is another bar downstairs, BUT we had all ordered drinks at the Royal Circle Bar. Very unorganised that particular day. Having said that, the lady I ordered from behind the bar when I first arrived was AMAZING. Chatted to me, told me about the show, (I was on my own so she made me feel welcome). Staff great, theatre beautiful. They need to improve it though. Work needs doing. Balcony not available as needs work it said. Not that one would like to stand outside in Winter, Theatre needs work, but the production itself was AMAZING.
