My friend and I were in Brighton for 2 nights and spent one evening at this theatre watching the show Let It Be (Beatles Nostalgia). The theatre is really old fashioned in a lovely way, so glad it has all the atmosphere you would expect from a place built in the time of the Prince Regent George 1V. We went... More

As much as I enjoy the shows at the Theatre Royal, I feel I must complain about the lack of toilets available for ladies. On two occasions recently I have missed the start of the second half because of the queues outside the ladies on the Royal Circle level where there are only 2 cubicles. I notice that recently the... I have attended the Theatre Royal Brighton for over fifty years. It is a marvelous venue for both the modern and the traditional performance. Truly magnificent venue intimate while not being small, professional without being austere, friendly without being over-familiar the Theatre Royal has survived every change in fashion, style of production, genre of theatre and generation after generation have... Saw this play yesterday afternoon. If you have time to see it you must. Helen George and the rest of the cast portray this gritty play with whit, drama and compassion. The acting was out of this world and I have not stopped thinking about the play since. A definite must see.

Wow, what an awesome and powerful performance. Helen George was stunning in her role as Julie, Richard Flood and Amy Cuddon were brilliant as John and Christine. This is the second time I've seen the play, the first was a few years ago in Worthing, but this was by far a much more intense and powerful production. If there are... More

Just seen amazing performances by Helen George and cast of 'After Miss Julie' - a dark, very intense and powerful play. Set in 1945. Excellent set and great acting. Even better no interval so you are completely immersed in this production. As always this theatre delivers big time.

I have visited this theatre many times now and always see a great show. Thriller was the latest show to see and again was a terrific show, it wore me out just watching. The theatre is a lovely old building with traditional decor inside, we always opt for the royal circle and have never been disappointed with the view, however... More

We wanted to see 'Joseph and his technicolor dreamcoat' and as it was going to be touring England during our visit we booked to see it in Brighton at this lovely old theatre and so glad we did. Intimate and majestic. Loved the show and playing in this theatre made it perfect night for us.

I really do love the old style theatre and this is one of the best, the atmosphere is warm and cosy with lots of leg room
