Wandered past here during our Christmas break trying to pop in for a look. Sadly it was closed until Easter holidays. The leaflet from the TIC made it look a decent way to spend time in Swanage.

We popped in on a wet day while visiting the area. Small but lots of information on the area, very friendly staff. There is no entrance fee but they welcome donations. Well worth a visit should you be visiting Swanage.

Small but well thought out space, Old shop displays excellent. WW2 information extremely interesting. Gift shop seems to have expanded each time I visit. Staff on duty genuinely interested in welcoming and talking to visitors.

Run by knowledgeable volunteers this small museum is free to enter but has every space filled with interesting details of the history of Swanage and the area. A good shop has a wide range of items for sale including good local books and second hand books. It stands at the dockside and the old Swanage Tramroad runs beside it. It has regular opening times and parking is not far away.
