Well kept building, no longer open to public as far as we could see. Nice coastal walk from Durston which we made into a circular walk by following first the coast path then round the lighthouse path.

along the coastal path you will see the old lighthouse. Such a shame you cant get any closer as this is a private area..

It's a wonderful area for hiking to and from with fantastic views and lots of birds to observe. You can get stunning photographs of the lighthouse. There is no entrance to the lighthouse grounds except for guests staying in the two self-catering cottages.

Lovely maintained lighthouse with fantasic walks and views. Well worth a visit but be prepared for uneven ground, uphill and down hill challenges. Bring a picnic, Kite on a nice sunny day. Well worth the Visit to Durlston country park and surrounding area. Good walking...More
