About
Britain's only gallery devoted to Mountaineering and Landscape Photography with almost a thousand square feet of hanging area. There are always two or three themed exhibitions featuring the mountains, landscapes and peoples of all seven continents. These change every four months. The Gallery is open 7 days a week and admission is free of charge. The emphasis and ethos of the gallery is on viewing rather than selling but 10% of all sales goes directly to Third World Projects.

A really nice free activity in Sherborne. There is no admission charge and once inside I felt no pressure by the lady working there to purchase anything. There are lots of interesting photographs so even if you don't have a chance to see them all (there are two rooms) then you can break it up into a couple of visits and it looked like the exhibitions change fairly regularly (there were three when I was there and they were advertising upcoming ones).
A good selection of photographs - some people, some wildlife and some mountains. In other words, something for everyone.
I'll definitely pop in there again when I'm in Sherborne with some time to spare.

There are a ridiculous number of images so that you cannot take them all in with one visit. That is not a problem as the gallery is well located in Sherbourne so you can easily pop in when passing.

This charming and friendly gallery in the heart of Sherborne is a delight to visit. Needless to say, Michael Bromfield has produced spectacular and beautiful images of his adventurous travels; many of his photographs are breath-taking, displaying a genuine affinity with his subjects. This exhibition whets your appetite for the next visit.

It's not what you'd expect to find in a small market town, but the Global Images gallery takes you from rural Dorset into the Himalaya and the Alps and other high places in - between.

Relaxed atmosphere, no pretentiousness and affordable imagery, ( if you feel like it ), that also donates to a worthy cause.

Well worth a visit.

Well worth a visit. Wonderful photographs of the Himalayas plus at present an exhibition of photos from Leonard Cohen's recent world tour.

The Gallery showed such high quality photographs. The scenic views of mountain ranges and of Antarctica were stunning and the temples / people of Tibet and Nepal captured the vibrancy of life there to a tee. The photographs brought back loads of special memories to me. Well worth a visit.

I have visited this gallery a few times now. Good variety of photographs, especially liked the close-ups of people and the Antarctic photographs. I believe the exhibition has changed recently so a new selection to see. There are a lot of photographs to take in. Worth a visit and Sherborne itself is a lovely town on the Somerset/Dorset border.

If you are a lover of travel images, this is a must-visit attraction in Sherbourne. Sherbourne is a beautiful small English town and the Global Images Gallery is an amazing addition. I come to Sherbourne to work in our sister office and I was last there in mid December 2012. I found the gallery at lunch while wandering up the High Street. What a hidden gem!

Clearly the photographer has a real passion for travel, scenery, and people. I really enjoyed the images that featured native peoples. A completely different way of life, but always smiling and looking as content as anyone on the planet.

I am excited to see what exhibitions will be on during my next visit to Sherbourne. I strongly recommend that any visitors or locals make a stop in the Gallery, you will not be disappointed!

There are so many beautifully shot photos of some of the most breath-taking locations in the world. My personal favourite were in the collection of Antarctica. I highly recommend a visit if you happen to be in Sherborne
