We ordered the potato jackets and Mediterranean vegetables with salad and chips. The waiter was disinterested and surly when he discovered we were not ordering alcohol. When our meals finally arrived there were no chips and some forlorn looking pieces of lettuce which masqueraded as a salad. The rest was a sloppy mass of indeterminate over cooked ingredients. The cost of this forgettable meal was 15 pound. You can do much better. Later In the week we tried Thai Nakorn a few doors up and it was delightful.

Went Saturday night, normally go out in Bournemouth. Not a patch on the Bournemouth gay friendly clubs, £4 a pint was pretty steep. Drag act just about average. But nice warm place, older crowd, no real complaint!

Great food with friendly staff. The food was good value for its quality. Children enjoyed their options as well. Only downsides were they struggled a bit to keep up when it got busier and there was only one high chair.

What a hostile environment this is! I have never met such surly, unpleasant bar staff in my life - and I've been to a lot of nightclubs! Regardless of the time of night, I expect when I ask for service, I receive service with courtesy at the very least, although a smile would be most welcome. Thank goodness the door staff understood their responsibility to be polite and friendly within a service role! There was a good range of music played and the license is very late but other than that, I cannot find anything positive to say about this place. The toilets are horrific-I cannot see how they pass the environmental health requirements for a nightclub let alone a daytime cafe! I cannot imagine what would possess someone to enter this establishment for a leisurely cafe lunch-it's filthy! And if the waiting staff are anything like as petulant as the bar staff then it can't be a pleasant experience.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on café jagos night life page, firstly I would like to apologise for you short comings and we didt live up to your expectations, firstly I can assure you the venue is cleaned to a very high standard and my staff are very well trained to deal with problems and are very quick to help costumers, its very hard working with drunk ladies of a certain age !! my staff will not serve rude or overly intoxicated people and they will have them removed its all part of there training and licencing laws that we abide by we will tolerate attitude we are fun busy bar and we will keep it that way ..... kind regards Mr jagos

Avoid this place, we stopped for a light lunch but the supposedly hot drinks served were absolutely dreadful, the service was even worse. The waitress was more interested in chatting to others who came in after us rather than getting our food and drinks, they even got served before us. We had to ask several times for our order. We tried to ordered a Dorset cream tea and was told they had no clotted cream only whipped double cream. Maybe we should mention this to Trading Standards as the menu was completely misrepresented.
One of our small group (there were 3 of us) went to use the toilet and was horrified when she came out of the toilet that there was a large but young dog trying to jump up at her. Even when she shouted out nobody went to her aid On one seemed bothered when we complained about this.
We eventually got our order only after explaining we had a coach to catch.

Stopped for a light lunch and had broccoli and cheese soup which was delicious. A quirky cafe bar that suited our needs travelling through and the three female staff on duty today 10/9/17 were ever so polite and helpful to a couple of Aussies. Can recommend highly.

Wow, great welcome and great food. Sue was delightful. Very smiley, genuinely pleased to see you. We loved the decor of the restaurant, quirky and very pleasantly different to most cafe's, it is outstanding and comfortable. Plenty of room to move around the restaurant (important to me as I am a right leg amputee), it's very clean and the atmosphere was genuinely of a comfortable and welcome one. Sue could not be more helpful, I can only manage small plates / portion sizes and Sue was quite happy to accommodate by letting me order child size and that was plenty big enough. I had a sandwich lunch, came with side salad and a few crisps. My partner really enjoyed his burger burger and chips, good quality meat, home made and generous portion. The restaurant us near the museum, I stayed here whilst my partner went off to the museum. Sue was perfectly happy to let me stay with my glass of wine and my book. Sue really is charming, the food really is special.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

Wow. What a joke. Owner speaks to his team like rubbish and will regularly shove you out of the way and shout at people on the dancefloor and at the bar. Cocaine makes you volatile, won't be going here again that's for sure. Will cherish the day other venues are open until the early hours.

Thank you for chooseing cafe jagos Firstly I can assure you the owner does not take drugs as you imply , secondly when you get kicked out of bar for being violent on the dance floor , one would assume you are the volutile person in this instance.. as for charging this covers security that keep the venue free from twits like your self ! I hope you enjoy other late night venues

Simple good food for mealtimes; recommended.
Not so good for just dropping in for a coffee. They now provide a little biscuit with drinks, but the cake/pastry selection is poor.
I have found the staff very pleasant, for Brits! Only one loo, so don't leave it too late.
