Due to deep water NO CHILDREN UNDER 14 years of age and NO DOGS are allowed. We are open Monday to Sunday, 11am to 5pm. Entry is £10 per person and entry to The Gallery is free. Described as one of the most beautiful and unique sculpture parks in the United Kingdom, Sculpture by the Lakes marries the soft beauty of nature's wild river landscape with the more formal presentation of monumental outdoor sculpture. It is that combination of art and landscape that inspires Sculpture by the Lakes. Whether it is work on a monumental scale that relates to its environment, or smaller works, the sculptures of Simon Gudgeon are perfectly placed in the delicately nurtured natural landscape to visually enhance their surroundings. The effect is a balance, a harmony of form and context where the experience is central. Without walls, without interpretation, each person can engage with the art and the ever-changing environment.

Beautiful Place

Worth a visit and walk around. Gorgeous lakes by the River Frome with some magnificent sculptures mostly of birds. A bird spotters pleasure as well. Highly recommended

We had a lovely time at Sculptures by the lakes, it is beautifully set out and feels as if you have found a special place. We loved the sculptures, we loved the lakes and wildlife and we loved the solitude that we felt there. Highly recommended

Been meaning to visit this place for ages it's been recommended to me by so many folks. Must admit it didn't disappoint, apart from 2 couples strolling around I had the place to myself, the sun shone and the sculptures sparkled in the chilly Dec arvo. It would be a great place to visit alongside a few other sites nearby... More

Gorgeous gardens with lots of places to sit to absorb the views and vistas. Great place to take a picnic there are even some shepherds huts that you can rent for the day. Adults only and only a restricted number of people let in at once so you feel like you are the only ones enjoying the gardens.

Fabulous day. We hired the island for the day and loved it. The hut was nice and warm with the wood stove having been lit beforehand for us. Tremendous sculptures by the lake on an equally tremendous landscape. Fully recommended. Thank you

My daughter loves horses so I planned this special day to see the gallery exhibition with equine photo's however we fell in love with the whole sculpture venue. I had rented the River Keeper's Hut for our picnic and that was wonderful with somewhere to leave our belongings whilst we wandered around the sculptures and with a glowing wood-burner in... More

Even having been to this fabulous place many times before it is always a joy. Every time we go we discover new and exiting sculptures, exhibitions, and the peacefulness of the countryside. Wildlife abounds and the whole area is beautifully maintained. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Thank you from Linda Les and Helen
