Due to deep water NO CHILDREN UNDER 14 years of age and NO DOGS are allowed. We are open Monday to Sunday, 11am to 5pm. Entry is £10 per person and entry to The Gallery is free. Described as one of the most beautiful and unique sculpture parks in the United Kingdom, Sculpture by the Lakes marries the soft beauty of nature's wild river landscape with the more formal presentation of monumental outdoor sculpture. It is that combination of art and landscape that inspires Sculpture by the Lakes. Whether it is work on a monumental scale that relates to its environment, or smaller works, the sculptures of Simon Gudgeon are perfectly placed in the delicately nurtured natural landscape to visually enhance their surroundings. The effect is a balance, a harmony of form and context where the experience is central. Without walls, without interpretation, each person can engage with the art and the ever-changing environment.

Lovely day at this peaceful place. Children are not allowed which is a shame as they would also love it. But I suppose you are guaranteed peace and quiet! Beautiful walk around and love the art along the way. Would take a picnic next time!

This is a place where you can enjoy looking at sculpture that has been carefully crafted to co-exist with beautiful surroundings. So, abundant wildlife, gentle lapping of water and glimpses of unusual and interesting art-work. An ideal place to while away a couple of hours.

My husband and I enjoyed this most surprising assault on the senses a few days ago. It was a gorgeous, sunny afternoon and the sculptures were enhanced by the pastoral beauty of the lakes and the planting schemes devised, I believe, by Monique Gudgeon. I am an artist, a painter, myself and visit galleries and sculpture parks all over the... More

Idyllic tranquil attraction with high art and beautiful quiet spacious surroundings; paradise. Not on a main road and entrance easily missed so best to phone for directions and to confirm that they have space for you as numbers are limited by the owners.

Well worth a visit, we hired the cabin by the river frome for the day, which was really good value for money and provided a base for walking round and relaxing. Staff are really friendly and helpful

This was our first visit to Sculpture by the Lakes and we were looking for somewhere to spend a calm couple of hours to get us ready for all the frenetic activity, which is Christmas in our house and we found it. We had the place to ourselves. The low winter sun cast long shadows on the sculptures and the... More

We rented the Island for a family gathering on a misty day. The photos are stunning! No matter what the weather this place is so special.

Worth a visit and walk around. Gorgeous lakes by the River Frome with some magnificent sculptures mostly of birds. A bird spotters pleasure as well. Highly recommended

We had a lovely time at Sculptures by the lakes, it is beautifully set out and feels as if you have found a special place. We loved the sculptures, we loved the lakes and wildlife and we loved the solitude that we felt there. Highly recommended

Been meaning to visit this place for ages it's been recommended to me by so many folks. Must admit it didn't disappoint, apart from 2 couples strolling around I had the place to myself, the sun shone and the sculptures sparkled in the chilly Dec arvo. It would be a great place to visit alongside a few other sites nearby... More
