Boscombe Pier is a lovely place to walk. It is free (unlike Bournemouth Pier). Clear dividers in the middle of it keep the winds from blowing you while not obstructing the view. Games for kids on the pier (golf, musical machines, etc.). Fisherman gather here...More

What a lovely classy beach by the pier - much quieter/more chilled out than touristy Bournemouth beach further down. Excellent facilities and amazing Restaurant/bar called Urban Reef with good quality food all day/eve. Just been watching the surfers doing their thing. Great place for couples.

This pier is nice but there is nothing on it a part from the crazy golf. It's worth a walk along to see the views.

We really enjoyed our visit here, it was relatively quiet on the beach and pier, which made it all the more enjoyable. This isn’t a beach with tonnes of amusement arcades etc and the pier is a pier to enjoy the sea, which is lovely....More

Pleasant walk down Sea Road to the Pier. It was a windy evening but OK if you stayed on the east side of the pier away from the prevailing wind

Nice little pier, which is free to enter. There’s crazy golf with fish friendly golf balls & musical instruments to play as you walk along (see photo). Lovely view at the end. Worth doing

I'm sorry we didn't play and I didn't see how much. There we lots of people playing both young and older people. It was fun sitting on the benches watching them. I do know that on the last hole your ball drops into the sea... More

Despite Boscombe having a "no dogs during the summer" policy on the beach, I did see LOTS of dogs on the beach itself and no authority or Council staff telling them to leave, so it's worth the risk. If you're in a car I do... More
