About
We are Bournemouth's first ‘Micro pub.' A small family run freehouse providing you quality craft beer straight from the cask. The beers and ciders are sourced from independent breweries. Plus an extensive range of Belgian bottled beers. No telly, occasional live music. Enough rum to sink a ship and a weekly Spirit of Thursday showcasing a bottle of our choice at a significantly reduced rate.

Found it via CAMRA app and gave it a try while visiting family nearby. If I lived in Bournemouth this would be my local. Lovely staff, friendly locals, excellent beer, dog friendly. It’s not big or flashy, but it’s one of the most welcoming pubs I’ve visited.

A wonderful and eclectic selection of real ales and ciders, convivial owner, barstaff and clientele. A well deserved multiple award winning boozer. Long live the Firkin Shed.

Paul and his staff are very friendly and serve a great choice of beers and ciders. Although the key keg beers were a bit over priced. A bit small but loads of seats and outdoor garden. All the customers were very friendly and made everyone welcome.

Popped in for a couple of pints after a long day walking around Bournemouth. Really loved this place, much better than going for a pint in Bournemouth centre. Big selection of beers, ciders and gins etc. Highly recommended if you're down this neck of the woods.

Lovely warm, cosy atmosphere. No rowdiness. Great beers. You'd have no idea that this place is on the road it's on once inside. It feels really safe. A great place to go for a drink, with seating inside and out.

Great ale and cider boards, unbeatable selection of rum, alternative gin, vodka and whiskey and mead by the glass make this a must. The eclectic decor and warm reception from the staff and locals add to the experience of a great night out.

A wonderfully friendly pub, with a great selection of real ales & ciders. An eclectic mix of people in an equally eclectic looking micro pub! The art of conversation has returned to the pub! A must for any desiring craft ale & cider drinker!

We tend use this quality establishment before and after football. A great pub with great staff and quality ales and ciders. There's no frills but that's what's great about this place.

Whilst it may not stand out visually it is in a line of shops just past Aldi , Once inside it is small and cosy but not luxury I can stay at home for luxury but I will not find beer and cider like what is served in here. The well kept ales are changing daily so no fear of a bum pint, mobile phones are not welcome but if you must use one you will have to be prepared to contribute to keep the Air Ambulance flying, Don't ask for a lager as the Landlord could change into Basil Fawlty . It how pubs were before gas was fed into coloured water. Don't forget your CAMRA card 30p a pint reduction for members
Must mention it is not a pub to take under 18 year old or even under 18 months it a throw back in time. Wonderful
