This is our second year enjoying the live music at this square and particularly the Latin music on Tuesday nights 7-9pm by Enrique from Salsa Explosion Bournemoth which is always jam packed and full of great vibes!
Well done to all who made this event a success. Also check out their various live music throughout August 2022 till month end.
There’s also various market stalls to browse and shop from. My favourite is the feather hair extension stall! Enjoy x

The leaders in Bournemouth are trying really hard to make this area a place where everyone can enjoy and their seems to be something going on most weekends and Bank Holidays. The area does seem to attract some people that clearly have an addiction to either alcohol and/or drugs who are noisy and make some people uncomfortable but its an issue in every town & city its just seems more concentrated in Bournemouth around this area. Nice pop-up bar during summer which is same prices as the up market pups and bars. Go along and see whats happening while your around this part of the south.

The beaches around Bournemouth are wonderful but avoid going near the pier area as it gets very busy. People seem to congregate in this area and leave lots of litter. The upper gardens are lovely too. I lived in and around Bournemouth for over 40 years leaving 2.5 years ago. We returned this week to visit friends and found the experience upsetting. The town is so dirty, shops left empty and the planning seems to have gone to the wall. Bournemouth was such a beautiful, classy, victorian town but now it's rough, tacky and shabby. Very upsetting to see a place do down so very quickly.

During the day was extremely busy and impossible to socially distance. In the evening it was full of extremely drunk and homeless. Would recommend avoiding with young children as every time we visited someone was arguing and swearing. In the afternoon a lot of skaters were there which we stood and watched for a while!

The square and main streets around the town are heaving with aggressive beggars and have been for quite some time. I'm in Bournemouth a lot but can't say I have not been harrassed by less than 2 beggars on a day or night out. There are also a lot of rude youths on skateboards and bikes that seem to have taken over since lockdown. BCP you realy need to clean up your town. Apart from this the square and surrounding area have so much to offer. A lovely sandy beach with a long promenade, cliff walks, a pier, the central gardens, seasonal events, lots of good bars, clubs, cafe's and a diverse selection of nice eateries with friendly staff.

All buses seem to to terminate at the Square, which makes it a great central dropping off and picking up point if you are on public transport. The shops are adjacent to the Square as is the park. Well signposted to the various locations around town and plenty of cafes and restaurants in the area

Bournemouth square is located in the town center and is a great place for gathering together with friends and families. When you are in Bournemouth square you will have access to all to all of the roads, shops, and gardens all around the Bournemouth town center. From June to September it is really crowded because of lots of tourists, moreover, there are bars and amusements facilities in the square. From the end of September, bars and amusements facilities will be closed and it will change to a place for skating by young people which makes it a good place for teenagers. If you are going to go to Bournemouth whenever during the year I recommend you go there at least once.

This was the first time we had ever visited Bournemouth in fact one of the few times that e had taken a Summer Holiday Break here in the UK. The town centre including the square is a really great place for shopping and dining. There are many different types of shopping to match all budgets from bargain shopping to those with more expensive tastes. There is also a good range of dining establishments here including Frankie & Benny's, Burger King, The Slug & Lettuce and the Wetherspoon's Public House Moon on The Square.

The Square in Bornemouth is definitely an interesting place to people watch, the square is centrally located and separates the 2 gardens.
The day we were there there were multiple different religious groups trying to speak with passerby's.
The River Bourne flows under the square.
