This is not just a golf course!! Cast woodland to walk through (including dogs) Large contained play area for younger children. Cafe (food and drink) reasonable priced and more. Excellent family-friendly park

Played Queens Park on a Saturday morning - 2 x 3 balls. Followed 7 blokes on a Stag do so progress tad slow at times. Some reviews talk about the walkers and dogs. We didn't think they were a problem, you just need to be patient. For a municipal course this was well maintained, good fairways and greens and defended... More

Played a 4 ball here for the first time, park course which i enjoyed although there are more walkers and dogs on the course than people! you need to keep your wits about you as walkers appear from the trees everywhere even if you are about to hit your ball. The staff were very friendly in the pro shop and... More

This was the first of 3 courses for our group. The course was tough in the wind but played well and was in good condition. The biggest problem was I thought I was in doggy day care . I have never seen so many dogs on a golf course with owner who don't give a dam and will walk straight... More

A municipal golf course, that when I played it had more dogs and dog walkers than golfers! I know it's a park but surely the people using it to walk their dogs should be far more aware of golfers. Even before teeing off on the first hole there was a dog walker walking obviously down the middle of the fairway... More

This is a MUNICIPAL COURSE and players MUST respect dog walkers, families and all persons walking through and using the open space for what it is, and when a few members deliberately aim their balls at people walking with their dogs on a Sunday afternoon AFTER this dog walker had deliberately waited for one player to take his shot before... First trip to the course and we will certainly be returning as this was great value for money. During the winter month's we compromise and play the cheaper courses as we want to keep on playing irrespective of conditions and play the so called better courses during the summer months (I think there is a little logic there somewhere). Considering... More

I had heard bad things about this course but was really pleasantly surprised. The layout of the course was really interesting with some challenging holes. The greens were well maintained and ran true all afternoon. Well worth a visit

Mixed reviews so wasn't expecting it to be so good! Each hole had character and a joy to play. Tees and fairways well tended and green excellent condition, maybe a little easy to read if only grumble. Loved every moment of this course. Only two slight issues, one being public space so the occasional dog walker will clearly have no... More

Used too daily walk my dogs on this public open space also used by secondary user for golf, not many folk frequent it maybe due to its size so it appears under used. Large free car park and in the past year a free adventure type play ground for the infant age group. The park itself is of undulating ground... More
