The Lower Gardens are floral and in the centre, near to where you can catch a bus all around the Bournemouth area. We caught the bus to Swanage, via the ferry, and had a lovely ride on the steam railway.

We walked through on the way from the bus to the pier and were very impressed with these gardens. You can tell they are well looked after & the flowers were amazing, I should think the people of Bournemouth are very proud of them.

Whenever we visit Bournemouth we always take a stroll through the gardens as it is very tranquil, on this visit they were busy clearing the weeds from the flower beds but the were still very colourful displays to see. We were hoping to have a...More

Always a pleasure walking through the lower gardens they are well kept. Lots of people exjoying the weather and sat on the grass too. Rather steep climb to exit though shop side.

The best experience is to walk the lower, middle and upper gardens, and take in the manicured, cultivated and natural flora and fauna.

It matters not when you take a walk through these gardens they are always interesting. Watching the plants and trees through the seasons change shape, colour and form is a real pleasure. It is away from traffic, quiet and relaxing. A credit to those who...More

I took a stroll through the pleasure gardens, so very enjoyable. Is a great place for family and friends to go. Plus young children can play on the grass while the parents can sit and chat yet while keeping an eye on the children.

These gardens are spectacular at christmas with various light displays, musical christmas tree and out door ice rink. The weekend was very wet, terrintial rain on the 1st day, the 2nd day was dry and lovely, so was able to see more of the area.

The Lower Gardens is a beautiful free area within the Bournemouth Centre. There is no fee or entrance chares. Just a lovely area for a good walk with various flowers, plants & places to enjoy along its paths.
