These lovely gardens are ideal for any age group to relax. Wonderful grass and beautiful flowers with tree along one side and a view of the sea and only a short walk from Bournemouth Pier

I planned to walk quickly through to get from the town bus stop to the beach, but on a lovely sunny day it was worth staying. The flower beds are still in bloom. There's water, grassy areas, crazy golf, small cafes, and an aviary. I wasn't aware of any of the "undesirables" mentioned by others.

The lower gardens can be seen as a peaceful place to have a walk, look at some duck and some...er...other things. There is a mixture of people that populate themselves in the lower gardens from drunken adults, tramps, elderly couples walking and families having a picnic. It is strange and bizarre, but it happens! There can be a lot of... More

It is such a shame when areas that you remember from long ago are so dissapointing when you go back. Strolling through the gardens yesterday, I was shocked to see the place overun with rats and squirrel. I'm not talking about one or two, but hundreds. Additionally there are vagrants crashing out under bushes on benches etc etc. Further more... More

These gardens are located at the heart of Bournemouth and are beautifully kept. There are a couple of cafes and a mini-golf area plus a balloon that takes you for rides during the summer. The river running through is calming, there are loads of places to sit and there are also some beautiful flower displays that are well kept -... More

The Lower Gardens were located in between my hotel and the BIC where I was attending a conference. It was a refreshing change from the traffic filled streets to walk through the fresh air of the Gardens instead of by the pavements next to buses, cars & taxis. The Gardens are immaculately maintained and, after an overnight thunderstorm, the soil... More

So I've lived around this area my whole life and no matter how many times I go down there it's always amazing and I feel very lucky to be around this area. Like all places it has some ups and downs but visually it's amazing and has a nice vibe in the air. Always interesting to go down during the... More
