Whether you are just there to walk along in the nature reserve or just looking across the water to mudeford quay or just to picnic on the open areas. There is plenty of parking and the walk is good in any weather as long as you wrap up.

I run here all the time, it's stunning! Worth a visit, at any time of the day. You can get a pretty nice view from the top of the cliff or you can go all around it. There is also a nice restaurant at the end of it at the beach houses.

I was taken to Hengistbury Head to complete a Landscape Photoshoot for a University Course - wow! I had no idea this place even existed. The views are stunning...across to home on the Isle of Wight, which was a lovely surprise! A little windy, but all adds to the wonders of this beautiful area. A friend and myself enjoyed a... More

One minute you are driving through suburbia - you turn off the road and there it is. A big fat nature reserve beside the river estuary and the sea. We didn't have enough time to walk around it so we took the little train to the end and had lunch in the cafe there. I wish we had had the... More

My dog could run around off the lead and a great time meeting other dogs, something he had been missing ! The pathways are... More

Hengistbury Head is fabulous. We usually walk the dog there. The scenery is lovely and peaceful. It is lovely to look at over the sea. There is a cafe and a train also, which is great if you want to go towards Mudeford. The Hiker cafe is expensive but services excellent tasting food.

Good cafe (the Hike Cafe), interesting visitor centre with a bit of history, nice walks with views of Christchurch harbour and of the sea out to the Isle of Wight.

This is a beautiful area. The new visitors' centre is well worth a visit and a walk around the head builds up an appetite for tea in the nearby cafe.
