Jun 2019 • Friends
Been going to this bar for years best one in my opinion and they surprise you every time, every Sunday night they have introduced dragioke - karaoke hosted bubbly a drag queen. This night was amazing it was attitude free an easily one of the best nights out hassle free attitude free and like always great deals on drinks this pub does it again if you like karaoke with an atmosphere this is the place to go. Karaoke is 5 nights a week there- tues, thurs, fri, sat and sun is amazing great night out in Bournemouth specially a time weekends with joint club sound circus

Popped in after getting off the train, friendly staff and customers too Was made to feel welcome,. Apparently they have karaoke 5 nights a week, might consider going back with friends for a laugh if we ever have a night out in Bournemouth.

Great place for karaoke, had a fab night out
Apr 2018 • Friends
We went there with friends for the first time on a Saturday night and had a brilliant night. The atmosphere was really nice and friendly, we met a lot of really nice people who we felt like we had known for years by the end of the night. The karaoke selection was huge, much bigger than other places we have gone to. The DJ was helpful and made sure he fitted all of our karaoke requests in before they closed at midnight. Definitely going back there for a night out soon! There is also a club attached which they said was open until 2am but we left when the pub shut.

Needs an Uplift
Jan 2017 • Friends
This used to be the South Western Hotel but is now known as the Lions Head. It has changed into a sports type bar with a few tv's on display. Two or three pool tables at one end. No draught beer but a new landlord who was in his first couple of days at this venue and who was saying that his main priority was to get some good draught ale available.

it is basic and needs a good makeover. Adjacent to the pub is a night club!!! Hmmm!!

Lots of memorabilia on a shelf over the bar which really needed a good clean and dusting. It is no doubt a challenge for the new landlord and I wish him success. it can onle improve.

Filthy, sleazy stink pit of a bar
May 2016 • Solo
Quite unbelievable. I'm amazed this bar is open in the rapidly improving area. Filthy bar that stinks of vomit, rude overgrown teenager for a bartender who was irritated about being removed from his game of pool to serve a customer, filthy furniture, lousy choice of beers and the one I got was badly served. Avoid this place, it's an absolute crap pit.
