This is a small but perfectly wonderful attraction. Entry is very affordable and the animals are very well looked after with space to roam. The cafe has a good selection at reasonable prices and the staff are amazing, especially Pete and a younger chap, who both took the time speak. The owner is equally pleasant. This is not a big, flashy attraction. It is down to earth and all about the animals. A perfect place to spend a morning or afternoon.

Right by the steam railway which we used to get there to make a great day out. Yes it’s small but not busy so really get lots of time with all the animals and can go in with the goats to feed them which my son loved.

Staff are all really friendly. As it’s the off season the cafe staff do fun the park entrance too which does cause delays but that is the only negative. Would defiantly recommend

Lovely small petting farm next to South Devon railway. Cheeky goats 🐐 make sure you buy food for them. The owl's are beautiful & the chap who handles them was really friendly. A negative is that there was no hot food, the cafe here used to be brilliant but there was a sign on the door explaining that they are struggling to recruit staff.

Came on the steam railway here, arrived at the cafe and ordered a Cornish pasty and 2 cheese and ham panini’s. Half an hour later went in to ask where our food was, they said they were just heating it up! Ten minutes later a young girl came out and said ‘did you order food’ no apology or anything. We told them to cancel it as we needed to go round the farm before our return train. They then said that they were very busy ( they did not seem to be, certainly over half the tables were empty) and after huffing about not being able to do the refund found someone who could! Went round the farm which is sweet, but no signs telling you where to pay. Went back into the cafe at the end to ask where to pay for farm entrance and the girl at the counter was very rude saying we should have paid here if there was no one around the farm!
Seriously need to manage better and teach the young staff some manners and client service.
Unlikely to return.

We didnt even make it inside. No on site parking means having to pay nearly £7 to park in the train station and then you still have to pay to get into the farm which currently has no toilets available other than the ones on the train platform which would make it hard for parents with small children and buggies to have to come in and put and cross the train tracks. No food and drink is currently not allowed so are peope supposed to dehydrate?

We didn’t exactly know what to expect when we went to meet the owls, but the whole experience it was a complete joy. We met each owl individually and Pete told us a little about them, he has a wonderful connection with the owls and knows them so well. They are all clearly very well looked after, happy birds, we probably could have stayed and chatted about owls for a lot longer and will definitely be going back!

Thank you Pete, you legend.

A very nice diversion with plenty of animals to get close to and feed If you like Goats in particular, you will love this. Good Covid provision and management of flow. Not the biggest place - an hour to visit max. Felt a little bit ‘punchy’ in price at £8.50/adult and £7/child.

Really lovely place to spend a couple hours. COVID restrictions are well adhered to with lots of sanitiser dotted round and only 2 families in any of the pens. Had a great time with the Pygmy goats! It’s only a small place but the price is fair. Look forward to returning when the steam train is back up and running.

A perfect day out for our 9 year old granddaughter and her favourite repeat trip. A great hands on experience whereby children can enter a lot of the pens and feed the animals and even hold some of them. The staff are lovely and patient with my ever questioning granddaughter and are happy to chat about the animals. Sam remembered our granddaughter even though we hadn’t been since before lockdown, as did Pete the wonderful owl man who gave us the history of every bird. Good COVID precautions - lots of sanitiser stations and a spotlessly clean hot water and soap area at the end. Children can sponsor an animal of their choice for which they receive info through the year and a card on their birthday. We’ll be back soon. Thanks Sam and the team.
