Classic English wines are produced at Sharpham vineyard as a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety known as terroir, and nature has bestowed her gifts freely upon us here at Sharpham. In the winery, we employ both New World and traditional techniques to best develop our unique regional characteristics. Our tally of International Awards confirms our position as one of England's foremost quality wine producers. We invite you to visit, sample, and make up your own minds about our fine English wine.

Having been Introduced to Shoreham's cheese and wines the previous night at the Church House Inn in Marlon, about 8 miles away, we thought we'd see the vineyard. Didn't do the trek as my 84 year old father in law who was with us would not have made it and we'd probably still be there! So we had coffee and... More

The self-guided tour plus a wine tasting was lovely way to spend 2 or 3 hours of our holiday. The 30-40 min walk goes through the vineyards and along the beautiful Dart river. Can definitely recommend this as an excellent attraction for anyone in the Totnes / South Hams area. A couple of minor quibbles: the tasting portions are a... More

It's become a tradition for us on holiday to go to a vineyard or brewery on holidays and Sharpham rates as one on the best. The Trek & Taste is extremely good value and because we went for the 1100 tasting which meant we were the only ones and thus got a one to one tasting lesson. Our guide was... More

Our visit to the Sharpham Estate was one of the highlights of our holiday in Dartmouth. We turned up on spec and decided to do the self-guided walk (£2.50 each) and then decide what to do next. The walk was absolutely delightful, a gentle 45-minute stroll through vineyards down to a beautiful stretch of the River Dart, it was so... More

We did the trek & taste £8.95 each. The weather was beautiful which made the 45 minute self guided tour even better, the views over the River Dart were stunning. We had a dog which was not allowed on certain parts of the tour so you might want to check this (she's tiny so I carried her & hide her... More

We visited here one afternoon while in Devon after having some of their cheese in a local restaurant. A long narrow driveway leads to the estate which really is in the middle of nowhere. We had the small cheese and wine selection between us which was a good way of sampling what they produce. Of course, we went home with... More

A beautiful location for a wander amongst the vines, taking in the scenery and learning about the vines, interspersed with samples of some of the wines. We finished the tour in the winery where we had some tasters of cheese and red wine. Andrea, our guide, was lovely, very friendly and interesting and she made the tour fun and relaxing... More

Went here to visit the cheese and wine makers, waste of time unless you are a serious wine drinker, very expensive to just taste wine (£8.00 for 4 very small glasses), no cheese making to see, the only plus side are the stunning views.

After a week of the famous Devon welcome, we dropped by to buy wine to take back. The staff were either brusque or distracted Service poor for coffee and in the shop where we had no eye contact and were passed on to another staff member who also talked over my shoulder to a customer already being served In a... Yesterday we spent a lovely afternoon at Sharpham Estate for a wine and cheese tasting after a lovely walk down to the River Dart - we found the staff very pleasant and should you be in the area it is well worth a visit
