Classic English wines are produced at Sharpham vineyard as a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety known as terroir, and nature has bestowed her gifts freely upon us here at Sharpham. In the winery, we employ both New World and traditional techniques to best develop our unique regional characteristics. Our tally of International Awards confirms our position as one of England's foremost quality wine producers. We invite you to visit, sample, and make up your own minds about our fine English wine.

While in Totnes, (we had seen the famous Orange race) now we wanted somewhere different to eat. Having read the reviews we thought we would "give it a go". So glad we did We weren't disappointed with the food, service & of course the views. Well done to the Chef & all the staff for a fantastic meal. The wine... More

You wouldn't know it from the website but if you want to eat here you had better book (silly not to assume I had to I suppose). Actually there are five seating areas (one hidden behind a hedge) and three of four places where it appears you could buy something to eat. Problem is there is a concession (I think)... More

If you want fantastic food, Al fresco over looking the magnificent River Dart then head to Sharphams. If you are interested in wine, then try the 'tasting experience' which celebrates English wines at their best! The great thing is you can buy all the wine and cheese at the in site shop and enjoy the experience all over again at... More

Delicious food, beautiful walks and homemade wine. What could be better? Lobster was tasty and fresh. I would 100% visit again.

This place is great for all ages and even dogs. We took a 30min walk around the vineyard which was very well sign posted. After this we managed to squeeze into the very busy alfresco dining (book in advance) , the menu is varied but is weighted towards fish. We ordered plaice and lobster- both we excellent. Dessert was also... More

We had planned to do a self guided walk of the vineyards at Sharpham followed by a taster session. However, the weather was not very good. As we were due to go home the following day, we decided to just pay for the Flights wine and cheese taster sessions. It was 11am and we hadn't had any breakfast and ended... More

We'd fancied visiting Sharpham for a while having heard so many good reports. Arriving on a perfect English summer's day we parked up after a longer than expected drive along the classic Devon narrow roads in the South Hams. We'd not made a reservation for lunch as the website hadn't recommended us to do so however we were told lunch... More

We went on a wet day for lunch and enjoyed the food and drink outside under the awnings. This is a small cafe run mainly in the summer months and the steak sandwiches went down well with our friends. As vegetarians we didn't have a choice except for the Twice baked souffle which was acceptable but didn't come with any... More

On a tour of wineries in the West Country we had lunch at Sharpham's and really enjoyed their cheese platter. Fun too spotting their cheeses in local shops.

We went to a wine and cheese tasting here, having first taken a stroll around the vineyard area. It was a beautiful summer's day and the setting was just stunning. I hadn't tried English wines before this and I enjoyed all four that were on offer. We received two types of cheese to try, both of which were delicious. A... More
