We visited by bus and enjoyed a walk along the top. The gardens were excellent. We did not use the cliff railway because it was late in the day.

We enjoyed our day exploring the beach and took a nice walk to a little area that was rocky with beautiful views. There is one stretch that is steep and may be a little challenging for older people but it is a short climb and...More

We enjoyed riding the fascinating cliff railway (nearly a 100 years old) but found the beach facilities meagre (one expensive cafe and no beach shop) but there was a fascinating visitor centre which sold some souvenirs.

We came to Oddicombe Beach whilst visiting the area. I had no idea of its existence until we used the cliff railway. A lovely beach with cafe and small boats etc to hire. The children enjoyed a paddle and made sand castles and generally had...More

Beautiful beaches with a bit of everything, sand, pebbles, rocks. Café, toilets, shop for all beach essentials. Be careful not to get cut off by the tide if going to the far end of Oddicombe .

We took the railway down to the beach. There's toilets and a shower. The beach is pebbly. Luckily enough, the weather was scorching hot so had a good time in the water.

Babbacombe is a little hidden gem of an English seaside resort. Close to Torquay it is the complete opposite of its larger neighbour. It is small, quiet and charming and well worth a visit. It also has a small theatre with a summer show, which...More

Yes you can take a dog on the Funicular and the promenade. Dogs banned from the beach itself i.e. the sand and pebbles, but only May to September I think.
