There is a hidden treasure in front of Torre Abbey for those who want a gentle 9 hole game of pitch and put during holidays on the English Riveria. Greens are well maintained, and from various holes you can see the sea. Easy walkable distance from most hotels along the front. We play every time we have a long weekend including Winter, and during the Christmas period. Clubs and balls provided. Toilets nearby and refreshments at Abbey Sands refreshments, or Torre Abbey ( when open) so perfect combination. Reasonably priced, and good value for money. Highly recommended

We visit Torquay every year to meet up with friends and one of the highlights is the morning visit to the Torre Abbey Pitch and Putt.
We are always made welcome and the course is kept in excellent condition.
A weekly pass at £24.00 makes it good value for money, especially if you want to play more than four times.
We are a very competitive lot and this adds to the fun. Helen was excellent this year and won, along with Andrew, a mug for the best round and lowest total score for the week.

Myself, and some close friends from Oxford, plan to come down to Torquay in July, to play the legendary pitch and putt golf course for the last time.
Sadly, this sporting facility will close for ever in the Autumn, 2024.
So sad. Lots of happy memories.

Nothing like the photos - the course is in really poor conditions. It was all overgrown with weeds everywhere including in the bunkers. The greens were in even and in terrible condition. If it was £2 a head then fine, but it was £7 per person - absolute rip off.

This is a mediocre pitch and putt facility in a lovely setting. Bunkers are poorly maintained, greens a little threadbare and poorly laid out signage especially when busy. The customer service at the start was curt, abrupt, unfriendly and bordering on rude. When I asked about playing 2 balls there was no room for negotiation even though it was quiet when we were there.

I never got a game. The Pitch and Putt is supposed to close at 7:30pm, but when I arrived at 6:33pm for a round, the guy running it was already closing up. I was on my own so I would have easily finished before the closing time or could have finished early if it was getting near to the closing time. I don't know if this happens a lot but it was a Tuesday evening.

I was going to get a weekly pass as I was planning to go every day during my holiday but after that I didn't feel like going back.

Greens are in a good condition and many holes are really challenging for a short play. You will get a lots of sea air but its not too windy as a course is about 300 yards away from the seafront and sheltered by trees. There is a historical Torre Abbey right next to it with a nice tea rooms and Devon's finest art museum :) Well worth to visit .

Bought 2 weekly passes for pitch and putt £24 each (not £23 as web site states). Really enjoyed playing with my son or wife everyday and maybe a solo game in the early evening when it’s quiet. Greens are looked after well and lovely location. Payed extra a couple of times so we could all play together. Would recommend the weekly pass if you are staying nearby and can’t sit still like me.

As a beginner I‘ve been to a lot of pitch and put courses around the country, this has been my favourite so far. Well kept greens, friendly staff and all the equipment readily available. Can fully recommend this course for a nice leisure round of golf!

We have just returned from a four day stay in Torquay. We played pitch and putt at the Abbey Leisure Park twice each day. It is a fabulous course, extremely well maintained and cared for .. a real credit to the head groundsman and his staff. We are true amateurs who just love to try and improve but this course would tax the best professional and surely would provide hours of pleasure and enjoyment for even the best of players. The course is well, well worth a visit by anyone .. you just get bitten by the p. and p. bug when playing it and you will surely want to return for more.
