We really enjoyed our visit to Living Coasts. We particularly enjoyed the penguin area where visitors and birds share the same area - great to see the penguins up close. The seal training was also very good - interesting to see how they develop behaviour plus the commentary made it very interesting. Enjoyed seeing the otters hunting around their enclosure... More

Living Coasts is a small seaside zoo/aquarium located at the end of Torquay harbour. It takes around an hour and a half to get around the park. The first animals you come across are the penguins which actually have free rain of the path you walk on. They seem very confident around people and it is nice to get up... More

Me my partner and nearly 3 year old went here with grandma and we all loved it and learnt something new! The enclosures were fantastically well kept and looked very natural and exciting for the animals which I really liked. The talks were very informative and you could tell the keepers really bonded with the animals. I've honestly never been... More

For not much. But the penguins were fab and you get to be so close to them. We had a nice afternoon and the sun was out. Great little place to occupy small people. You could have more exciting fish in the aquarium but other than that it was nice.

Lots of Penguins, birds and Seals but not that much. If you like Penguins, go but that is pretty much it. You go in and see Penguins - job done. They have a wading pool with some wading birds then you see some Seals laid on a rock. That is it. They have a netted aviary but some wading birds... More

Living Coasts is a great and informative experience, especially when going with young kids. Seeing all the penguins and seals from above the water and below is fantastic and gets the kids excited. However, it Is a fairly small place and quite a short trip around. This may have been as we went on a cold day and maybe in... More

First impressions were not good as the receptionist was really difficult, not accepting my uni library card as student ID as it did not have an end date. After quite a while she made out that she was doing me a favour by letting me in, like I would bother lying about being a student. Once inside we had a... More

Thank you for visiting Living Coasts. I'm sorry you rated your visit as pretty poor and that you had some issues with a student discount. We do advertise that we require a valid student card on our price lists at the ticket desk and on our website. We get a lot of people trying to use out of date or... More

We visited the shop and cafe only and had a coffee. The shop had plenty of lovely things for kids. The coffee was good and the view from the upstairs cafe were fantastic.

I've put off visiting here before as I had a feeling it would be a bit rubbish, and I was right. It cost over £30 for my wife, daughter, and I, to see what was essentially a few birds and a few seals. It took probably about 30 mins to see what was there. In lots of places there were... More
