We enjoyed our afternoon at Living Coasts watching the birds, penguins, seals, otters and fish. A member of staff had created a small display of coral, crab shells etc and was available to chat to children and adults about marine life. The avocets and wading birds are always a delight, and the antics of the otters amused a good crowd.... More

Took two young children for the day ..... but after walking slowly we could only stretch our visit for 2 hrs. We all felt that it wasn't worth the money we paid to get in. It's a real shame as we had hoped the little one's would of been able to see more.

Went across on the boat to Torquay from Brixham not overly thrilled by Torquay, found Living Coast it was a really interesting afternoon, get really up close to the penguins definitely recommend a visit wasn't overcrowded so able to see everything.

Apart from the main attraction of Living Coasts - the Penguins etc, there is a cafe/restaurant here. Plus points: Take a coffee (or whatever you prefer) to the outside balcony. There you have possibly the best view in Torquay - unrestricted panoramic view of the bay taking in the coastline as far as Brixham. Prices reasonable eg a large latte... More

Found this attraction to be both fascinating and informative. We were a little upset that we missed the penguins feeding time so arranged to return the next day as the entrance fee covers another visit. The whole concept is amazing and you get to see all different types of wildlife and their habits. The otters were incredibly clever at finding... More

Thank you for visiting Living Coast. I am sorry you were disappointed with your recent visit. We have a team of grounds staff who work throughout the day keeping the site as presentable as possible for a working zoo. Some of the underwater viewing tanks haven't been as clear as normal due to an algae bloom out at sea. This... More

We went here on the second day of our holiday. We were made aware by staff before paying that some of the tanks had zero visibility due to maintenance. Decided to go ahead anyway and were not disappointed. A wide range of animals and a must see is feeding time for the Penguins. Great visit.

On a recent visit to Torquay with our young child we thought that a trip to Living Coasts would fit nicely into the week. First things to take into consideration the entry price includes a free return visit and if brought in conjunction with Paignton Zoo is only £22 an adult so is really good value for money. There are... More
