This is a lovely little walk away from the busy roadside, which winds its way along the base of the cliffs. Lots of lovely plants and shrubs, plenty of seating along the way and information.

We enjoyed an evening stroll through the gardens which are nestled next to the harbour. The coloured strings of lights between the lampposts and the sun going down whilst sitting near the fountain made for a wonderful sight. The flower beds looked marvellous, and the sound of the sea could be heard lapping against the boats and harbour.

We spent a couple of hours sat in these lovely gardens just watching the world go by and were most impressed to see how beautifully they were planted and looked after it is just across the road from the sea front and has plenty of easy access with cafes and restaurants close by well worth a visit.

The parks dept. does a good job keeping these gardens colourful throughout the year. There are seats where you can watch the sea and also, people walking by on the promenade. Being at sea level they are in the middle of the sheltered bay and can be a warm and sunny spot on a windy day.

These sea front gardens are so well maintained. On a dry day it's a perfect place to just sit and relax and look across the sea. Summertime there are lots of beautiful flowerbeds, but even in winter, if it's not too cold, it's still a lovely place to walk
