Touring the West Country

One of the better areas to spend time in. The Scenic Wheel is an added attraction, offering panoramic views across the harbour and town.

The gardens run along side the harbour, plenty of seating and always a great atmosphere due to the shear number of visitors. You can find the Torquay wheel here and usual array of refreshments. We spotted some market stalls one day but didn't venture to look further but clearly there are planned activities on some days.

Lovely ,family feel to these gardens. Ideal for families to run safely, lots of benches to sit and admire the views. Flowers and beds kept very well. Water features very pretty especially when illuminated at night.

Beautiful well kept flower beds, walk ways with palm trees and water features. Lots of places to sit down and take in the views and forms part of what is a wonderful walk along Torquay harbour and seafront.

A very busy place for tourists and too busy for some but great for a trip out for half a day if you want a quiet holiday. Great for a wander and lots for families I would imagine. A buzzing, jolly resort that is not too commercial or tacky.

These gardens are immaculate and are constantly maintained. Good selection of plants well suited too Torquay's micro climate. There is plenty of seating and refreshment areas. The gardens make the walk along the front very pleasant. Traffic is very close by.

This is a lovely little walk away from the busy roadside, which winds its way along the base of the cliffs. Lots of lovely plants and shrubs, plenty of seating along the way and information.

We enjoyed an evening stroll through the gardens which are nestled next to the harbour. The coloured strings of lights between the lampposts and the sun going down whilst sitting near the fountain made for a wonderful sight. The flower beds looked marvellous, and the sound of the sea could be heard lapping against the boats and harbour.
