A nice museum with well kept souvenirs of artifacts, and items used. In the 18 and 19 the centuries.. Takes the clock backwards and educational for the kids. Some war memo realia , many miniature models villages , trains or fun fair light up and functions as in real life.

Short of something to do on a cold Saturday afternoon we visited Bygones. Good for an hour or so. Growing up in the 1960s I remember o lot of the stuff on show. How on earth did they get a steam engine into this building - very impressive. A small café which did a mean Hot Chocolate and a reasonable... More

This place is such a tardis, from what looks like a small shop, a whole new experience unfolds. It is something young and old can enjoy and be amazed by. If you love seeing how life was in the victorian time and up to around the late fifties, then this is a must to visit.

A great visit! We took about an hour to an hour and half to go round as we were looking at all the little trinkets on display. Its very interesting to see the clothes people wore, daily objects used and walking through the trenches!

Called in here on a coach trip, we had visited many years before, definitely more features now, very interesting, we actually required more time that we had, to look at everything on offer. Definitely worth a visit!

A party of 7 visited this attraction in November 2016. It was very interesting, informative and fascinating. Easy to access areas and well stocked shop and helpful staff. A well replicated 1st World war trench.

Really enjoyed my visit to Bygones. So much so that I'm going again for the Victorian Christmas display in December! Loved looking at the streets and how they set out the shop windows and rooms. A wonderful afternoon.

This is an amazing collection that has been built up privately by two generations of the Cumings family. And what a fantastic collection it is, really well laid out and easy to navigate, so much to see....loved the interactive displays. We found it to be very nostalgic with all the brands and old advertising displayed. A lovely railway section too... More
