Enjoyable couple of hours spent looking round. Lots of memorabilia, shame you can't enter the shops on the street. Think it could have more pertential, ie maybe couple of shops selling more goods. The one when you go in at ticket reception is quiet poor.

Was recommended to visit by our b&b proprietors , was a wonderful step back in time so many artifacts and memorabilia to look at, amazing, had a great atmosphere, particularly enjoyed looking at the war artifacts with the personal stories letters, medals & pictures too, you could easily spend a few hours there. Was great also to be able to actually play... More

Bygones may suffer a little as a wet weather alternative in high season, but anyone spending a few days in the area would be well advised to visit as it has been lovingly and thoughtfully compiled by its owners. Despite it looking rather small on the outside, it's like Doctor Who's tardis ... how did they fit in a WWI... More

A chance to see history in the flesh. Really interesting, even noticed that I have the same victorian tealights. (I didn't realise they were that old!)

After visiting the model village, we spent a couple of hours here. It's brilliant, so many genuine artefacts, rooms set up to take you back in time and a lovely little shop with some fab bits in.

We spent few hours inside the museum. I am always fascinated by historical stuffs and this place is a treasure trove of victorian era items. The ambience is somewhat dark and spooky. We were so engrossed in our observation.......we had to be reminded at 17:45 that the museum will close soon.

I Loved it could have stayed longer but my partner is claustrophobic and felt confined in some areas.

Spent a short time in bygones, very good. My only criticism is how hard it is to find the mice in the paintings, whilst trying to negotiate the stairs! Could the paintings be put a bit lower down, so the younger visitors had a chance!

This was the 2nd time for us to visit this attraction as we also visited a few years ago. A lovely few hours just walking around looking at the displays and hearing the sounds of days gone by as we walked around. Very interesting. Well worth the visit. Would recommend to anyone visiting to Torquay.
