Park at the car park for the model village (fee payable) then it is a 3 minute walk (look out for sign on car park wall). We spent an hour wandering around this museum. Staff were friendly and helpful. It cost £7.75 for senior citizens. Ideal visit for the over 50s, or anyone interested in history of the early 20th... More

new years day was in Babacombe was surprised to find out this museum, bygones, was open. We were in there for over 4 hours as there was lots to see and read. Half way round had a cream tea in the café. my favourite was the street and how it was set out. Definitely would recommend it.

We have been to bygones before but t was a while ago, but we still enjoyed it as much. Just love seeing how life would of been many years ago. You walk through a little victorian village looking into shop windows how life used to be. They also have the world war trenches which was interesting. There is a cafe... More

Whilst travelling we stopped in Babbacombe village and found this lovely museum, which has lots of old street scenes and many more exhibits, which certainly test your memories. Really liked the touch that the museum had a few Christmas items dotted about which really freshened up the scenes, nice touch. Good way to spend a few hours, but I would... More

A nice museum with well kept souvenirs of artifacts, and items used. In the 18 and 19 the centuries.. Takes the clock backwards and educational for the kids. Some war memo realia , many miniature models villages , trains or fun fair light up and functions as in real life.
