We have just spent a couple of days in the area and visited babbacombe for the day. It is December so obviously a lot quieter than would be the norm. A few places had closed for the winter but overall it was a lovely area to walk. It looked as though another slide had happened looking down at the beach.... More

I love Babbacombe, it has everything from the cliff views to the cable car cliff ride. Quaint appearance, a theatre and lots of places to stop for just a cup of tea or hotel accommodation. Lovely landscaped gardens too.

Babbacombe is near to other attractions such as Bygones in St Marychurch, which is only about a 15 minute walk. Babbacombe has some local shops but the main attraction is the view over Oddicombe beach and the beach itself. There is a cliff railway to take you up and down to the beach if needed.

We visited Babbacome on our short break toTorquay and it was a nice sunny day. The views from the Downs were wonderful and we could see Exmouth very clearly.A visit to St.Marychurch a few minutes away is a must with a visit to the Coffee House for refreshments.

A beautiful part of Torbay with a very interesting model villagem (the largest in Europe at one time) There's also the cliff railway, beautiful beaches and Babbacombe Downs with stunning views over the bay.

Stopped on our way to Torquay, really just for a cuppa and a bite to tide us over til dinner. Ended up taking the Cliff Railway and walking along from Oddicombe to Babbacombe - stunning.

A lovely bay, nice shops, coffee shops and places to eat. St Mary Church is a few minutes walk away. If the weather is good it lovely to have a picnic. A must place to visit
