There's a nice walk along the cliff top which gives stunning views of the Jurassic Coast. There's a lot of good cafes serving cream teas, drinks and snacks in town and along the front and a vehicular that takes you down to the sandy beach, which has few shops and activities during summer, and a harbour along a waters edge... Decided to stop and have a wander here, and I would really recommend a visit. Lovely old high street with lots of nice shops, and plenty of coffee houses, we also visited the museum here, see separate entry. Lovely walk along the cliffs where the views of the bay were teriffic

We have just spent a couple of days in the area and visited babbacombe for the day. It is December so obviously a lot quieter than would be the norm. A few places had closed for the winter but overall it was a lovely area to walk. It looked as though another slide had happened looking down at the beach.... More

I love Babbacombe, it has everything from the cliff views to the cable car cliff ride. Quaint appearance, a theatre and lots of places to stop for just a cup of tea or hotel accommodation. Lovely landscaped gardens too.

A beautiful walk along the top of babacombe downs with lovely views over the beach below , and a telescope from which you can see as far as Teignmouth and beyond . A cliff railway , Angels tea rooms , seats for a rest , altogether a lovely place to visit !

Babbacombe is near to other attractions such as Bygones in St Marychurch, which is only about a 15 minute walk. Babbacombe has some local shops but the main attraction is the view over Oddicombe beach and the beach itself. There is a cliff railway to take you up and down to the beach if needed.
