Cremyll Ferry to Kingsand & Cawsand

Cremyll Ferry to Kingsand & Cawsand
4.5
About
A 3.4 mile moderate walk along a very unusual section of the South West Coast Path, passing mainly through parkland with stunning views across Plymouth Sound and a wealth of historical interest. Children will love to ramble through the grounds of Mount Edgcumbe, with its many fascinating features, and will enjoy the beach at Kingsand.

Great way to see the coastline and get to a destination for a day at the beach a walk around shops or a walk at Mount Edgecombe. Loved the mix of tourists, locals and dogs on board.

Over zealous and hypercritical covid measuers.

Over zealous and hypercritical covid measuers.
A group of us used your ferry on Tuesday both to and then from Mt. Edgecumbe and there was no mention of face coverings but on the following day I was refused passage because I was not wearing a covering.
This is over zealous and unnecessary because not only were covid restrictions lifted on Monday, so it is my choice not yours, but also because this is an outside space with ample ventilation.
It is hypercritical because 2 out of the 3 crew I could see were not wearing coverings and moving about freely among the passengers.

I am a local resident and will make sure that everyone I know hears about this.
In times of uncertainty, for small businesses especially, I would have thought you would make every effort to please your customers not alienate them.

A good adventure

Good for all the family except maybe Gran (bit wonky) but there are husky men to help on and off which cheered Gran. Nice to have a boat trip naturally and not covered and spoilt with health and safety cocoon but safe all the same.

Helpful staff on regular ferry service. Just brilliant. Cheap and well run. Such pretty views and ferry allows bikes and dogs.

So convenient to visit a lovely area

This is a lovely ferry which takes you across to the Beautiful Mount Edgcumbe park where there are nice beaches and lovely woodland walks you can walk all along to Cawsand and Kingsand through the park, visit the nearby local pub for a good meal in nice surroundings or go to the Orangery restaurant, there are even Segways that you can hire in the grounds all this is just a few yards from the ferry which makes quick regular crossings and is most reasonable to use well worth a try

We were on our way to Polhawn Fort and went on this ferry from Plymouth and back a few days later. Yes, we had big luggage and they helped us get it off and on. Nice views but be sure you are ready as the trip takes just a few minutes.

If your in Plymouth you must journey to this ferry and catch the boat to Cornwall and visit the castle and grounds. Excellent lovely open grass walk to the enchanting castle.

A short hop across to Cornwall.

The ferry takes you over to Cornwall (Mount Edgcumbe) in 8 minutes. It's only £2 per person, each way. Once there you have a pub and the Mount Edgcumbe estate to explore, which is well worth a visit.

Good ferry

Reasonably prompt service. If you are going to Mount Edgcumbe it is much better than driving. The 34 bus stops just round the corner.
