My friends and I went in the Kings head after a meal across the road. Having been in here a few years back (when it was a little rough around the edges), I didn’t have very high expectations. I was wrong, the place looked very...More

The newly opened Kings Head is one of the best places in Plymouth city centre to get a pint for a great price and watch sport on one of there many screens. The pub is well run and has a nice atmosphere.

Don't get over excited, this place is hugely disappointing and has been through woeful and neglected times. It needs a vast amount of work and one of the few saving graces is the current landlord who has been in place for about ten months and...More

I first drank in this place 40-odd years ago, and since then it has changed hands many times, often for the worse. Previous recent landlords left the pub with a fairly unsavoury, sometimes violence and drug-related reputation, but news of a new licencee prompted me...More

This pub I knew 20 years ago as a 'brew pub'.... It seems to have gone through hell! However when I walked in I saw a great 'dive' bar! The new manager, Johnathan is a fantastic character with a grip on where he is going....More
