myself and son visit the fort for the first time. What an amazing place so interesting. The guided tour is a must going underground and through the tunnels. Son loved the gun going off, and walking on top of the fort.

I went there in October and it was freezing. The gunfire and cannon fire were fabulous. The history so worth reading about. The views were wonderful too.

This was our second visit here having previously been on an open day. This time our visit incorporated a guided tour which was a much more an informative experience for us.

Hi Paul, thanks for your review. There are a number of reasons why we are not able to run open days on weekends however we do try and accommodate children when our open days fall during school holidays. We are glad you enjoyed your visit

Hi folks, only assistance dogs are allowed inside the Fort but there is a permissive footpath outside the Fort on which you could walk a dog. I hope this helps, Alex
